The best that can be said is that the beer was well-kept, and they have loyal locals. Didn't feel friendly, however (bar staff aside), and annoying TV on, in the bar. Wotton suffers from a dearth of good pubs. The Old Spot in Dursley far superior to all of them in this poor benighted town!

Visited last friday evening early and two nice local pints, one was Uley and very nice and well kept. Called back again on Saturday and had Freeminer whiuch was also very good. The pub has a large dining area and specialising in steaks. There is a challange to try! 73 oz is the leader at the moment! Still is a pub in the end bar with friendly locals and good bar staff.

On Saturday last I found the pub closed and up for sale.

Like many of the Wotton pubs this is multi roomed with public and lounge bars and a dining area behind. Good ales include a local micro and Sharps Doombar. The food is on a par with the the Royal Oak and although it is advertised that food is served til late 7 days a week 8.30 was too late on Friday. Probably the pleasantest pub in town and the best ales.

This pub has regone extensive renovation recently and is a delight to visit. Several areas with great decor, excellent food, including seafood dishes, and well-kept real ales, often Sharps from Cornwall.
