Family friendly Greene King pub. Fairly recent build, though interior has a traditional pub feel. Place appears very popular - on our Friday afternoon half term visit the place was packed. Has a holiday camp social club feel, with a solidly working class clientele. Three Greene King cask ales, and a range of meal deals on offer, including kids meals. Veggie options are very limited. Food is aimed at being filling rather than healthy or tasty, but it is what it is.

A colleague of mine suggested to come hear for the meal deal. 3 course meal for £4.95!!!! Yes £4.95. We went their at lunch, they a range traditional beers and lagers, it was heaving with seniors and they were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
We went for the deal, slightly small but what do expect for £4.95!!, It was quick, hot, very filling. Excellent manager there I think he does a n excellent service locally. Yes I will go there again. Does any pub beat those offers.

This pub has definitely turned around over the last few months. Brian and Teresa are superb hosts and the quality of the food and Beer (although it is Green King) has got better and better. It can still get lively on some weekend nights, but the place has never been so clean or run so professionally.
Now some of the idiots have been barred, the atmosphere has really improved.
Congrats to Brian and team and long may it continue

Terrible service, untidy and unfriendly staff and hopeless manager. Food comes out semi cold direct from the micro wave. Looks like its recently had a make over, but lacks apeal. You might be lucky to get a clean glass. Toilets unclean and smelly

I suppose that West End still likes to think of itself as a village (rather than a suburb of Southampton), and this place appears to be still aiming for a "village inn" feel (although quaint it is not). Not too bad, and only really let down by the dull offerings from Greene King.

Reasonable 'drinky' chain pub - plenty of seating and a friendly atmosphere. Not very trad but quite pleasant inside nonetheless.
