I VISITED LAST WEEKEND AND THERE WERE MORE STAFF THAN CUSTOMERS....I WAS THE CUSTOMER......IT WAS SUNDAY NIGHT....
ENUFF SAID....

Empty (just one other customer in the late afternoon), grubby-looking furniture and a nasty smell too. Leaving aside the good points, it had "run out" of real ale so had to make do with a pint of keg Greene King IPA Smooth. Perhaps it's OK for live music, but as a daytime pub its pretty desperate.
|
Even though you get a large number of teenagers in here it still feels like a comfortable place to spend an evening watching some decent live music.

this pub is FANTASTIC , live music , faboulous atmosphere , everyone in here is really friendly - not like some of your luton pubs ,
bar staff are lovely some great bands i have seen play here , gets a good crowd , cant recommend this enough , do pay it a visit , u will not regret it

fairly dull greene king pub but a decent pint of hook norton was available, 6/10

I've heard this is the only decent alternative/metally/goth/etc pub round Luton. Is this the case?

My rabbi and I found this place after asking a local cabbie for a "The best pub in Dunstable..."
Marvellous scratchings.

My girlfriend and I found this place after asking a local cabbie for a 'lively pub, with music and an older crowd' and he took us here...
Actual I loved it.. as soon as we stepped out of the cab our ears were hit by AC/ DC thumping out the rock disco.
I just love places like this, no bullsh*t rock pub every town needs a pub for the older rocker.
As for the beer, I had a few pints of Guinness. It was ok. Hoping to go back soon.

Unfortunately, this pub really does have a jinx affect with its management.
This is, and has always been, Lutons only alternative/rock pub, but management has a tendancy to constantly shaft its regular clientele.

I thought this pub was smoky and a bit of a dive but only been there once. There was a band in there murdering "Ain't no sunshine" so we only stayed for one drink. Probably all right for the rough old men who were in there.

Friendly rock/alternative pub, with fine selection of beers & ciders.
Thursdays hosts an alternative/new wave night called "Thursday Fury" with DJ Nephilimbabe
Fridays classic rock with DJ ROB
& Saturdays metal & hard rock bands.
