The Three Horseshoes is an excellent pub. We stopped off here returning from East Anglia.
Nice decor (if a bit basic-modern), excellent choice of beers in good condition and reasonable prices for the Cambridge area. Good service, staff knowledgeable and friendly.
Friendly atmosphere and room to find your own area (away from the TV or playing pub games).
Hard to fault.

The Longbow is dead, long live The Three Horseshoes. The pub re-opened last night with 6 real ales on tap, plus a range of imported lagers and bottled Belgian beer. The redecoration is excellent. The beer choice outstanding.
No food yet. Speaking to the licensee he is expecting limited service next week and a full menu by Easter.

The Longbow will be re opened early February as The Three Horseshoes, which it was known as until 1977. Jethro and Terri from The Cambridge Blue have the lease so expect to see up to 8 real ales on handpump along with imported lagers and a selection of Belgian Beers

From the Cambridge News, 30 May 2012: A pub which was closed after a police raid will remain shut until a full review of its future can be carried out. South Cambridgeshire District Councils licensing subcommittee today refused permission for the Longbow in Stapleford to reopen after hearing the views of police and the landlord. A formal hearing will be held within 28 days to consider whether the pubs licence should be revoked. As the News reported, police raided the pub on Friday following repeated complaints about violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour, and arrested four people.
So its future is clearly up in the air.

Now reopened under new (local) management. Some redecoration done and well priced but fairly standard food on offer. Decent beer and some interesting real ale selections not often found in this area.

Now closed

No longer a Thia resturant and the food is now standard pub grub. Still a good selection of ales to be had although on the night we visited it was full of old rock and rollers and they were playing sixties music. Could do with a tart up as its staring to look a little worn now.

What a great pub and a bonus a really nice Thai as well. The Longbow looks like a pub inside rather than an oriental resturant conversion. There are at least four real ales on hand pump. I had a very nice pint of Nethergate Augustinian and they also had Caskade and Bitter n Twisted plus Adnams. Thai Food very good although the menu does not really cater too well for vegetarians unless you like bean curd.

the Longbow has gone up a notch. as well 5 well-kept real ales it now has very good Thai food.

Unremarkable but welcoming free house just south of Cambridge - decent garden and one of Camb's more interesting real ale range, although beer a bit warm and may suffer a bit from low turnover - deserves more support
