Boarding's been removed although when I went past yesterday (I couldn't stop as I was driving) the place didn't appear to be open.

At the moment this pub is boarded up.

Friendly pub near the station and has free wifi, ask for the password.

A totally BEAUTIFUL pint of Badger Lemony Cricket was quaffed here last month, pub not great but beer perfect, ideal 4 a quick pint b4 the train home! 7/10

Open again but don't rush to go in, you won't miss a lot. The pubs around the station square used to be vibrant but most of them now seem empty and scruffy.
|
Now closed.

Just under new management by John and his wife. Still as nice a previously described. worth a visit.

This is one of the most clean and well taken care of pubs I have ever been in. There were lilies in vases around the pub and in the ladies'. It has had a bit of a re-fit, if memory serves correctly from my last visit. Had a lovely pint of bitter shandy, which was lovingly poured and tasted marvellous! As we left like bores after only one pint each, the landlord thanked us and said "You take care now". Nice.
