Coopers Bar and Brasserie, Guiseleyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Coopers was our final stop in Guiseley. We'd planned to eat here. But, they don't allow kids in after 5pm. I stayed for a quick half, as the ale range was probably the best in town. Timothy Taylor Landlord is the regular ale. Guests were Anarchy Buckfire, Black Sheep Brian, Elland Cherry Stout, Daleside Bitter, Settle Blonde & Wilde Child Centennial. There are a few craft beers too. As with all pubs we visited over the weekend, there is no real cider. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer here.

All interior tables were reserved (for non existent diners) so was relegated to quaffing my pint in the "beer garden" - a narrow strip of decking fenced off from the railway by a 7 foot high corrugated iron. Beer was okay but won't be rushing back anytime in the future.

Coopers is an unusual mix of pub, continental cafe and bistro but it seems to work, and the ambience is excellent when a few people are in. I have visited several times in recent weeks and have been impressed on each occasion. The beer is good, and comes mainly from local breweries, staff are friendly and the food is often of outstanding quality and very good value for money. The menu combines traditional pub dishes with some more adventurous restaurant style offerings, and they do both very well. By far the best eating/drinking venue in the area.

Eight ales and a Perry which is alternated with other other Ciders and Perrys. The Perry was expensive in comparison to the ales, presumably the price is based on strength. The bar food was pretty good. A not particularly atmospheric venue and the view of the main road from the window is uninspiring. Anyway, its the beer that counts!

elland and Copper Dragon repesented, both very good. however, the emptiness of the pu put me off sligtly, so only a 7/10.

Hard to fault the Market Town concept, though the customer base is a bit on the upmarket side, and they can get to look a bit samey. Black Cat was very good indeed though and they do promote real ale very well.

Doesn't get much better than this- excellent, well kept selection of real ales, good selection of foreign beers, friendly service. Just wish I lived closer!

Great selection of real ales and even better is that it is a non smoking pub.

Another pub from the "Market Town Taverns" group. Support for local Micro breweries, Belgian beers and Great lager. Totally no smoking
