Pleasant pub inside with friendly staff. Unfortunately the beer is weak, bland, isipid rubbish. All Theakston type beers with no flavour at all. Pub itself is fine but they should really get some decent beer in!

Forgot to add there was an attractive wood burning stove though I think you'd have to be sat closer to it than I was to feel the benefit from it. Nice to look at though.

Drawn in my the signs outside promising 'real ales' and 'cask ales', you can imagine my disappointment when reaching the bar I discovered that only Theakstons Best Bitter (3.8%) was on, the other two hand pumps were blank. I imagined it was just bad luck on the day, but judging by Mappiman's review from a couple of weeks back, it would seem perhaps not.
The pint set me back £3, and was pleasant enough, I haven't had a pint of Theakstons in a while so I didn't feel too put out, but I do prefer to go something a bit more adventurous.
The pub itself is nice, spacious, one section reserved for diners (though on my lunch time visit there was nobody eating). Stylish interior, painted wood panelling, nice lighting, etc.
Based on the ale selection though I probably wouldn't rush to return. Next time I'm in Settle I will probably try the Lion or the Talbot Arms instead.

Terrible beer.
Should have been suspicious that there was only one real on. Theakstons Bitter.
I went for it. It was so cloudy that I left it. And I am as tight as a gnats chuff.
I seriously hope it doesnt cause me problems on the fells tomorrow.
Nice interior.

One of CAMRA's Real Heritage Pubs but the attraction of a revolving door and wood panelling wasn't enough to keep us inside when we smelt the disinfectant and learnt that there was no food being served on a Saturday lunchtime. Maybe that was why there were only 4 people in there. Theakstons Best, Black Sheep Bitter and Timothy Taylor's Landlord on sale.

You should never need to keep your coat on in a pub.

This pub has a fantastic interior that has been immaculately kept. Always a good selection of real ales. Karaoke night is an experience in itself...

The building is amazing, like a 50s hotel but in very good condition. Went in a couple of times this weekend, beer fine, Theakstons and Copper Dragon, it seemed to cost more on the Monday as it had a couple of days before so that's not ideal.

Fantastic wood panelling and a revolving door. On our last two visits to Settle it seemed to be a popular and well-run place selling Copper Dragon beers. This time it was one real ale only, from Moorhouse, served too cold.
A To Let sign appeared the week we were in the town. Lets hope someone gets it back on track again.

Had a couple of pints in here on a wet windy afternoon. The pub had a pleasing atmosphere for a big pub and we enjoyed the beer. The market is just outside, so any visitors should enjoy this one. Dogs ok.

There isnt currently a pub listed in the Good Beer Guide for Settle and I took a punt at this place and wasnt disappointed. Loads of wood panelling, quarry tiles floor and genuine oak beams with carved arches. Food, drink and accommodation. The ales consisted of Black Sheep Bitter plus two from Copper Dragon. No complaints with the beer either.

Interesting building, with an historic interior. Good selection of ales, but a bit pricey compared with other pubs in locality. Indifferent service.

A bit like drinking in a hotel lobby due to the revolving door, but it has a nice atmosphere. Great staff and beer. Lots of nice old panelling. There was live music on (paunchy bloke with guitar type... allegedly this one had been in Supertramp!) the saturday evening we visited. Worth a stop on the pleasant walk to the Hart's Head at Giggleswick.
