Great comedy nights downstairs on a Thursday and Saturday, otherwise best avoided.

Bring back the old Slug & Lettuce please!!!
And put this sad establishement (in a brilliant location and in a wonderful old building) out of its misery.

stinking cr@phole, often full of chavs.
when The White Horse, this was the best pub in Putney -full of Victorian booths and serving a huge selection of Ciders.
Avoid at all costs.

Went to private party in the basement, very dingy & stank of damp. Bar staff either very casual or seem to be auditioning for Comedy Night. Upstairs seemed lively.

I have been in this place only once, and never again. White trainers seem the dress code and if you seem to be above your late teens you are made to feel unwelcome. Also the beer is very flat.

This is the worst pub i've been to in Putney, and i've been to them all.
The bouncer was obviously 10 years younger than us but still asked my friend for id, an admirable policy until you see the average age of many of the females inside. (yet another sexist door age policy).
The barman told us that they were closing at one am then promptly came and collected our glasses and told us to leave at 12.
The beer was flat too :o(
Apparently the comedy club on Thursday night is ok but I won't be going again.
Steer well clear on Friday nights. If you want to drink after 11 i suggest the Spotted horse.

Great pub. Good food and drink and in a nice location. They have a Comedy night every Thursday in the basement too for �5 and cheap drinks which is always really hardcase. Highly recommended.

went there after the boat races on Sunday - what a great night out - they had an excellent live band and a really great party atmosphere, they should do live bands more often, it was super.

was there last nite. was a good nite apart from it took 45 mins for them to change the fosters. the service was also slow at times, just not enough staff.

Horrible place. Populated by loud public school boy thugs. The piss beer compliments the sour look on the clientele's faces perfectly. Head to the Railway up the road for a better experience, better company for a start.

Went here on a Saturday evening before nipping into the cinema oppposite- Everyone is ID'd on the the door (when was the last time that happened?. Crowd consisted entirely of 17 years old slappers attracted by imitation Smirnoff ice and the promise of an easy pull. Absolutely dire, unless you are a hormonal teenager in which case you probably think you have found heaven.

Watch a match on the ground floor and u can feel the 1st floor about to cave in on you! Worst in Putney.

Wow what can I say?? I stumbled upon this pub after a disappointing time at the local Railway. It has really well priced drinks and great deals for students. Food leaves a little to be desired. Best to get a few vodka snakebites down and watch the footy on the big screen!! Underrated for too long! The Litten Tree is rising up!!
