Lawns Inn, Yateback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I recentley visited the lawns and found the pub very welcoming! right from the start of my visit i found the staff warm, friendly and very helpful. upon entering the pub i found the premise cosy and welcoming and the beautiful smell of the carvery was mouth watering!! the bar was sparkling clean and the warm smile of the assistant manager was most welcoming, nothing was too much and she made my visit to the pub hassle free and left me with the feeling of wanting to come back. The food was fantastic and beautifuly presented, for the money you just cant go wrong. So if your looking for an amazing carvery or just a chilled out pint with happy lively staff then the lawns is deffinatly worth a visit.

Very disappointed in the pub side of things, not a great range of drinks and the bar staff were unwelcoming. They do not accept passports as a valid form of ID, as one of my younger colagues found out.
The Carvery isn't too bad (apart from the carrots) and well priced and the pub looks quite attractive, but apart from that, The Brimham not too far away offers a much better evening out.

slightly tired pub but a great friendly atmosphere. Staff try hard to make you feel welcome which shows in the warm feeling. Well worth stopping off for a pint if you feel uncomfortable going intolocal pubs.

I haven't been in for a few years, but this pub used to be the class act in Yate. Very smooth, nice furniture, good staff [welcoming, efficient, often smiling!], smart decor, decent-sized car-park even. Beer selection was ordinary - but you could drink in comfort - without worrying about the toe-rag brigade [nowadays "chavs", I suppose]. As a drinking experience - not stunning - but as a pleasant place to take a friend [with curves, ideally!] - certainly a seven.
