Went on a Friday night and it was not busy. Very friendly barman and good service. Put off by a group of five youngsters who were permitted to go to the takeaway opposite to order pizzas and other takeaway food to eat at a table next to us. It was very off-putting and I was astonished that people would do this. The place stunk of takeaway food. This may be common in this pub as our table was incredibly sticky and another table close by was as well. I go to a pub to enjoy a drink and listen to music in congenial surroundings. We did not get that n this pub.

Stopped for one on Bank Holiday Saturday, interior a little tired & a passable pint of Tetley & Bombardier, service ok & beer topped up without having to be asked, Sky Sports was a bonus but not a patch on Cellars down the road.

Pleasantly suprised in the quality of the two beers on offer, the pub was clean and the single member of staff was very attentive although a bit rushed off his feet.

New management. The place has been tidied up with more plans on the way. Beer much improved but on the expensive side (2.65 for Tetleys).
Spoilt it by having karaoke on a Saturday night or I'd have stayed longer

2 handpumps neither of which were on until the following day despite the clip being on display

Not my favourite. Rather tatty and the beer's not great.

Empty apart from me and the good lady when we visited.Decent drink.Pub ok.

Staff are friendly, good choice of drinks. Vistors tend to be a bit more of the local kind but pretty harmless.
Food is ok and live music and quiz on some nights
Could do with a refurb as it's looking a bit tatty at the moment

Nice pub, clientele can be slightly intimidating at times. good beer garden and great ales.
