Now burnt out and boarded up following a 'suspicious' fire.

A good source of condiments to put on your chips can be had from the beer pumps here.

Only two ales on and both poor, not impressed at all , pool room with no pool table!

Freddie the landlord, just like the open log fire is always on hand with a warm friendly welcome and the real ale is totally spot on,usually O'Hanlons & Cotleigh with occasionly something from Moor. The main thing to note at present is it's 2 A PINT ALL DAY EVERYDAY on real ale :-p 8/10

Good sized pub with two quite distinct bars each with a totally different feel. The room on the right has a long bar (with no real ales!), a plasma showing sports and a pool table out the back. Seemed quite popular with a younger crowd.

The lounge bar on the left was packed out with contestants for a pub quiz and has a much cosier feel with a real fire, piano, and some proper beer! This seems like a very decent pub (something of a rarity in Weston I feel) and as such is well worth checking out.

Beers were OHanlons Red Ale and Yellow Hammer plus Cotleighs Nut Cracker. Cider were Thatchers Gold and Traditional.

Only 2 out of 4 handpumps in use this evening & VERY quiet - our party of 3 increased numbers by 50%! Bar staff not v friendly & beer quality suspect

Well That could all change now claire and craig are not helping there. Are we talking about the same Landlord?

This pub is as good as gets , it is comfy, friendly, stocks great beers, and has a landlord who nips trouble in the bud, and ejects ner do wells with a speed and efficiency that is marvellous to behold. A real virtue is the management's realisation that porters are in demand and generally have one along side the lighter real ales.

Real pub with real people and real beers and ciders. Recently taken over and now a free house with frequent guest beers, often something the landlord has sourced from all over the country and even Irish Breweries. Great atmosphere on a Friday evening - the hangout of some talented local musicians for a singers night, and every other Sunday afternoon usually another gathering of musos. Big screen t.v. available - but only for Rugby, Cricket or Footie. Landlord prides himself on the quality of the beer and having a good atmosphere. Trouble not tolerated by Landlord/lady or locals.
