Nice Whetherspoon pub offering the usual good value food and drinks.
Spacious bar with additional seating upstairs, although it can become crowded when busy, and difficult to obtain a seat/table.
Service is variable, although the management seems good and friendly. Food is generally good, although there is always the odd poor meal.

Small Wetherspoons which is over 2 floors. It is one of the less scruffy pubs in Hanham. Usual low JDW prices, beer choice was alright.

I am generally not a McSpoons fan, but this was fine. Busy on a bustling Friday night. Beer was 1.85 a pint (choice of several), and no real complaints. 6/10

Despite the fact that this homely pub seems to be run by children, it is a very nice little place in an area with little much to offer in the way of hospitality. The service is friendly and being a Wetherspoon there is a decent collection of ales, even if 3/4 of them were off on last visit. The Thursday night curry seems to be something of a local institution here and you'll find a spacious but atmos-zero dining room upstairs in which to consume the microwaved goodies.

This is a recent addition to the Wetherspoons stable. Its a traditional Victorian red-brick public house that was somewhat down at heel previously, and has now been given a new lease of life with a JDW makeover.
Its perhaps a little smaller than many of their pubs, although there were signs pointing to more seating and another bar area upstairs, which I didnt investigate. There is also a small courtyard garden/smoking area at the back. Decor is inevitably much the same as any Wetherspoons, with some wood panelling on the walls along with freshly painted plaster in mellow tones, and a dark patterned carpet. The only feature of any interest is the fireplace with a large mirror up above. There are also plenty of pictures and other information on the walls about the local area.
There was a plasma screen showing a news channel, although this had the volume down and was tucked out the way around the corner. There were also a couple of fruit machines opposite the bar and several A-boards promoting the various meal deals available.
Beers on tap were Milk Streets Amarillo, GWB Maiden Voyage, Hydes Ship Shape, Abbott Ale and Ruddles Best. Ciders were Blackthorn, Strongbow and Thatchers Gold.

quite a small wetherspoon offering over two floors, opened two weeks ago and still appears to be very popular with the locals, packed throughout with nowhere to sit so ended up sat outside! Very unstaffed like with most jdw outlets and nearly ten min to get served, only 5handpumps downstairs of which two were blank and out the other 3 were abbot and flamin ruddles!opted for pint of rhymny export @ a rather pricey for spoons tag of 2.40,definately not the finest pub from the spoons stable,6/10

Now being totally refurbished to become a Wetherspoon's pub.

Closed down and boarded up. The scum have gone elsewhere although the area seems to have improved somewhat since I knew it maybe 10 years ago

clicky, druggy, rough. about 10 years ago it was fun!

The last time I popped in to this pub it got drug raided by CID, it was during the last World cup.
about five or so years before this I was in there with my girl friend when somebody pushed a stool over on to her ankle, when I bent down to pick it up the guy who pushed it over put his foot on it.
IMO avoid this pub at all cost's, it's nothing but trouble.
