Really disappointing. Used to be a really nice place to go out to eat, however our meals were just average, the service was slow. Overall, poor value-for-money when you consider the price you are paying for the food here.

Very much a gastro pub with waitress service - even for your drinks - but unquestionably excellent value. The two course lunch for 10.50 (not Sundays) includes some excellent options and everything's tasty. The location is good too (virtually opposite the Bridge House, in Longham) and there's a large accessible car park.

FANTASTIC! With 3 friends we visited this busy local pub (we had pre booked a table) on a Saturday night and had a fantastic evening. Even though they were very busy the waiting staff were always available, polite and professional. The quality of the food was fantastic as was the wine. We will be going back very soon.

OUTSTANDING!
This pub is now the only pub in the local area where i KNOW i'm going to have a first class experience.
The quality of food surpasses all other pubs in the area, and more importantly its hot when its delivered to the table. I dont mean that in terms of 'microwave hot' either.
My wife is a fussy eater and the chefs have personally catered for her needs, and on occasions created dishes which arent even on the menu (within reason!)
The service is always outstanding.
I even broke a cardinal rule of mine not to eat Indian food anywhere other than an indian restaurant, but I saw someone else having the Indian dish at the Kings Arms and had to try it myself. It was absolutely brilliant.
Try the fishcakes as a starter too, they are out of this world.
I cant recommend this pub highly enough! 10/10

visited for the first time tonight and found it packed at 8.15pm. You need to book and the phone number is 01202 577490. Staff seem friendly and there was quite a buzz. Has Ringwood on tap and a good selection of beers and wines as it's a free house. Hope the food is as good as it looks - yet to test that.

This pub has been closed for renovations - majors one.... i have been waiting patiently for the work to be done... and the wait was worth it... its been brought up to a high standard. To my suprise, when i walked in, they serve my two favourite tipples, Stowford Press Cider, and Timothy Taylor Landlord... had a look at their menu and can't wait to try it out... from my side and big thumbs up

Now reopened as a Free House which is a pleasant antidote to all the Hall & Woodhouse pubs in the locality

Will dave be back? it wouldn't be the same without him behind the bar, pretending to give you the wrong change - everytime. Home from home for so many years, glad it will still be a pub, in whatever form Does anyone know when it is due to re open?

Not another "food" pub with all the character of a "Burger King"? Oh well "parting is such sweet sorrow".

I understand that the Kings Arms is only closed temporarily, for a major refurbishment and will open under new management.
By the way it is located in Longham, not Ferndown.

Shame it's closed down then.
