Looked like a cheap lunch stop for the area. Quiet early afternoon but the Clarks beer was pretty good (theme for the area). Great views, of course.

We ate here on Mother's Day, after visiting a friend in Manorlands, and wish we hadn't. Decent beer, forget the food.

Great location high above Keighley. Nice interior split into 3 areas. Nice selection of local beers on tap. Tried Hawkshead Windermere Pale & Goose Eye - Gunpowder Treason. Definatley from different hand pumps but strangely tasted exactly the same! Food looked good and my wife had a great hot chocolate with marshmellow pieces on top.

Stopped by for lunch here on the way to Hebden Bridge. Food is basic pub fare but there's a decent menu and it's not that expensive. There's a good selection of ales. Seems more geared up for lunches and evening meals but has great views from the tables out front.

Moss, your review is so enthusiastic (and it is your only review on here) that a cynic might say you have some sort of connection to the pub?

The waggon and horses has been under new managment for the last year and have made real changes to this lovely cosy country put with open fires and breathtaking views over the stunning county side of Oxenhope .
The hospitality is second to known serving mouth watering food all soured locally and served in comfortable seroundings, with a selection of real ales to tempt the tast buds.
The pub also offers the chance to book in to one of there tasefully decorated on suite room bed rooms, who could resist a trip to the waggon and horses.

Having never visited this pub, we decided to hike there on Saturday 3rd November 2007 hoping to have a meal and enjoy the bonfire and fireworks.
Ordering a meal on a busy night was perhaps a mistake, but it's unforgivable that a "chef" is unable to deep fry a pre-prepared chip. My husband thought the filling for his steak and ale pie was flavoursome, but again was stunned by what passed for pastry. Imagine a partially soaked manila envelope and you have an idea.
I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt for the dubious quality of the food, as it was a busy evening, until I saw another party receiving far more edible food.
The premises are in need of refurbishment, but the beer was good and the fireworks weren't bad!

It was the best pub around for food, we used to travel quite a way, at least once a week to eat here, when the owners moved to up near Oban? I think, I was truly upset.
I have been in a few times since and the food is quite enjoyable, it has not got the wow factor anymore, but, we still enjoy it.
