New owners have turned this into the best real ale pub arround five hand pulls selling local craft ales and cider. Great wine range, dog, walker and family friendly, clean tidy welcoming. Food freshely cooked whats not to like

We visited Oxenhope in June 2012 - and a local gave us a tip to visit the Bay Horse for food. There were 8 of us, aged from 70 to 9 and yet we all found the pub and staff welcoming and comfortable. It is a traditional pub but do not let that put you off, the children were very happy there and they loved their food especially the stilton, mushroom and cream starters. The rating for this pub is misleading as the previous owners were obviously just coasting along while the new owners are very proactive and enjoy serving their customers.

We went here on Christmas Eve. Very good food, excellent atmosphere, landlord and landlady very friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

This pub has changed hands since Mid April 2011. It is now also serving food for the 1st time since the previous landlord closed the restaurant. The food is good and the beers are good. It has been cleaned up and has a very welcoming front and inside. The new landlord and landlady and very pleasant. The motto is: GOOD FOOD, GOOD BEER AND GOOD CONVERSATION. Well worth visiting and dining in.

Service here i slooooooow. The food is inedible and the ales you'd expect non existant. It's a dark building and always feels chilly. It's alleged they do lock ins for the locals which is a badly kept secret apparently, but I've never tried and wouldn't want to stay there longer than I had to.

re last review it was empty when i called in on sunday afternoon.it has a copper dragon logo on the frontage, but when i asked for a copper dragon beer the barmaid said they dont sell thier ales. confused.com.so tried something from the nearby cullingworth brewery and it tasted like gnats piss, only other choice was tetleys bitter needless to say i didnt stay long.and its no wonder why this place is empty

A pleasant enough pub, cosy enough and with a nice frontage and right next to the cricket ground but virtually empty when I called in on a winter's Sunday lunchtime. The bar staff and locals seemed friendly enough. Only one real ale on offer. Pool table and a good collection of old and new photos of Oxenhope F.C.

Up for sale .

Lively busy local pub, nice to see that they do still exist. Food was acceptable, but nothing special. Good selection of beers.

service (IE, clearing tables) can be patchy, and the beer is sometimes off. Friendly enough, though. Gets very busy when the cricket team is playing at home... you'll know because both teams gear is stacked shoulder high in the corridor to the toilets.
