Friendly barmaid and the best tasting pint(of 20+) on my two day visit to Chichester(admittedly it was Oakham Citra!!), 7/10

Another name change doesn't disguise the fact this is an overpriced, wannabe wine bar with more than its fair share of thugs. It has a cash point in the corner that charges you 1.75 to access your own money. Like a lot of pubs round here it feels like it should be a lot better but just, well, isn't.

Just managed to get a pint before last orders on my visit.
Sadly can't remember what ale I had but it was a good one, good bar staff and it seems to be busy on a weekend evening.
Worth a visit.

I have to declare my bias as this is my local. Beer is good, especially the Tribute and Adnams. Good range of lagers for those interested. Bar staff very friendly and have a range of cocktails they'll rustle up for you. The only downside is that it is pretty pricey. Don't expect any change from a tenner if you're buying 3 drinks, expect to have to pay more.

Things have taken a turn for the better recently, the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is excellent again (try the Dragon breakfast for a great way to start the day!) and the range of beers is good. More points scored for the fact they now keep Tribute as well!
Well it may change for the better, the egotistical bar manager has left so I might give it another go. The prices are a bit steep but no more than the pubs in South Street.
Expensive prices 3.80 for a pint of lager freezing cold and empty and no atmosphere, everything you dont want from a pub.
this is a nice busy pub which is rather cosy inside and good for a lunchtime pint in the summer in the rear bear garden. its only downside is that both the food and beer is rather expensive.
Boring really, its part one thing then not much of anything, ale range is reasonable, fairly friendly, dark, trying to be everything at once - nothing to write home about -
Was back there again last weekend, and must say i am pretty sure this place is getting better, rooms were better, food was amazing, definatly the best in chichester!! Will be back again..
2 visits in two days? You must love it - or work there. ;)

This is one of the best pubs in Chichester. Smart, modern and comfortable without being up its own backside, which makes a nice change. A nice, friendly atmosphere, good booze and tasty food. Last time I was there I had a homemade burger which was superb and decently priced. Definitely one to recommend.

Great public house. The landlord has made a real effort sorting this place out and its paid off. Beers well kept, food looks and taste's great and when I had a little look in one of the B&B rooms again I was very impressed.
Well done to the landlord and staff for turning this place around. I'll certainly be coming back again.

It's a bit crap now, sorry to say. The staff obviously think they are working in a classy establishment but it's a matter of style over substance. A shame.
Great Bar/Restaurant, looks the part and plays the part, all the staff are really helpfull and the quality of food is up there with the best. I stayed there for a weekend away and the rooms are really nice, very modern and a very good price for within the city. To be honest i am not sure what all the other comments are about. its a really nice place and i would recomend this to anyone who looks on this website.

Staff unhelpful and rude. Our food was mediocre and took several attempts to get order correct. There are better establishments to eat at in Chichester
We've been put off the George & Dragon recently by the seemingly increasing rudeness of the staff, culminating in a recent incident when the barman refused to replace a drink he had mis-prepared, asserting that he was right and we were all wrong. We'd now rather go to other pubs where the welcome is warmer!
Good pub and good beer, shame about the bar manager. Needs to remove his head from his arse.
Suffers a bit from its just-on-the-edge-of-town locations, which means lots of noise and lots of people, particularly at the weekends. Take a short walk to The Bell instead, now that really is the best pub in Chi!
Not quite sure what Biker's beef is! Prices? The B & B room we had here - at the back, away from any noise - was excellent for the price. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beer is well-kept.

absolutely brilliant local... keep it up (the standard not the prices) great pub!
Definitely at the 'upper end' of the hospitality trade but....at least the highway robbers of the 16th - 17th century had the decency to conceal their identities before they relieved you of your hard earned cash. Not here, they can do it with the utmost charm, good manners and yes....you even want to go back again and again!!! Tourists, beware!

easily the best pub in chichester friendly real food and real beer ( a rare thing now ) great little suntrap decking. a real gem ! thank god it changed hands.....
Recent refurb has made this pub seem more upmarket, hasnt lost its charm, easily the best pub in Chi,We both always nearly end up here after our shopping jaunts, Excellent ambience...
Food looked good but was overpriced. Unfortunately, though, that seems to be fairly standard for Chichester alas. Didn't eat as roasts had run out and didn't want to pay 8 for sausage and mash. Good pint, though.
Nice and friendly pub, good selection of drinks and nice food.
The best pub in Chichester, especially if you can get a seat in the back yard in the summer! Great beers & food.
THE place to drink in Chichester. Good beer, good food, great staff.
Model pub - pretenders take note.
Good food. Small local pub, very friendly.
