Dashwood Arms, Piddingtonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
On first sight, nothing special but exceptionally affable service including an unprompted offer to fill our water bottle near the end of a 10 mile walk lightened our mood. Three beers from Rebellion graced the pumps while two lads on a London to Wales walk (!) were also being treated like kings.

We happened to call in at this pub last Saturday. Lovely inside, and really nice bar staff. The live solo act (Paul Linn) was truly incredible, a rare talent indeed ! We ordered food here, my GOD, big mistake. It took a breath taking 90 minutes to arrive, but worse still is that it was AWFUL ! Under and over cooked, near inedible to be honest.

A nice place to visit just outside High Wycombe. Been in twice recently on a Friday lunchtime and not too busy but range and quality of beer is good (Windsor & Eton - Kahinoor IPA). Food also very nice and inexpensive.

Lovely food, nice interior, warm and friendly staff. Good value, and a pleasant stop on a wintry evening. Will stop again soon.

I understand that this pub has been under new management since 2010 and has been completely refurnbished. It's certainly very nice inside now, anyway, with three separate but linked spaces: a modern restaurant area, a more traditional area, and a cosy area with sofas and an open fire. The food is great - home cooked, very tasty and good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there's always a nice atmosphere.

There's a "To Let" sign outside this pub and a generally run-down feeling about it. 3 handpumps, but only 1 in use (London Pride, a little past its best). Few customers on a lovely Saturday lunchtime - those that were present were mainly bikers, I think. I can't see it lasting as a pub for much longer.
