I noticed that this place had changed names to be the Brighton Bierhaus last time I was in Brighton. But I finally got around to visiting on this occasion. Unsurprisingly, it's owned by Brighton Bier. 5 of their cask ales are available - Grand Havana, No Name, South Coast IPA, West Pier Pale Ale & Alpha Bale. I seem to recall having the stout (No Name), which was nice. They also had Ascension Pilot cider and a very good range of craft beers dispensed from the rear of the bar. The beer selection is displayed on screens. Live football was just finishing when we arrived. There was a fairly handy Jamaican take-away nextdoor (or at least very close nearby). Another good option when in Brighton.

Visited for Sunday lunch which was poor. Not particularly friendly and slighty offish. Wouldn't go back.

Horrible little pub. Been there twice now...thought the first time I might have just caught the bar man on a bad day, but on second visit I realise that the level of service must be all part of the staff trainig as the landlady is equally as rude, abnoxious, unfriendly and arrogant as the rest of her team. You'd have to hold me at gun point before I'd consider going in this pub again and then I'd probabley still opt for the bullet.

Has been The PV @ The Jury's Out for the past 2 years. Really friendly pub with lots going on different evenings, plus great home-made pub food. Well worth a visit.

No, gone again. Looks like it could be terminal this time.

I can't make my mind up about this pub

Well that didn't last long. The Cabaret bar looks to have gone bust and it's the Jurys out again!

Not sure where to start with this one, but all I will say that this is a pretty shoddy. It looks cheap and vulgar. Its a shame as the pub looks very inviting from the outside. Looks cosy and warm on the outside but the inside has the atmosphere of a working mans pub/homeless shelter. The only plus side is that its 2.80 for a pint which is not bad for its location. Apart from that void.

Tried this place several times but I just can't seem to get to like it. A modernised, plastic pub that has ripped out any Victorian interior it had and replaced it with an facade designed to attract the Am Ex people, except it doesnt. So you get the ageing rockers, local builders et al instead, sure their nice people bit it just does't look wright
