Well ! I stopped going in when it was apparent that if your not a "regular" they cannot be bothered to serve you they must be making a fortune if they've got such a take other or leave it attitude

Best pub of the 3 visited in Worthing by me and my group on a Saturday evening.
Sitting back from the Main Road this traditional 19th Century Inn has everything.
Mix of clientle, decent Harvey's beer on tap, bar billards, friendly atmosphere and 2 jolly owners / managers (not sure which was which).
There was a disco on the night we came in and the music was just at the right level so not to intrude with our conversations which to be honest was mostly about the music but a great way to finish a Saturday night out.
Will be back here on my next visit to Worthing

Well run local, shame there were no interesting beers (just Harveys and national bland beers).

Not quite what I expected to be honest after reading the reviews.

Traditional unspoiled pub with a great atmosphere. Top-line bar billiards is played here. And we always get a good welcome, good music too... Gets a '10' from me.

Every time I go in this pub , it gets better and better. Good old fashioned layout but clean and staff are so nice. Light and airy .Lots of regulars and a good movement of people in and out in the evening . Plenty of seating for small and large groups although it does get busy. The DJ on a Friday plays all sorts of music from all era's and you end up singing along without realising it . Has a covered smoking area out the back with seating if you prefer. Really like this place.

Not changed over the years still as good as ever with a good beer selection.

Really nice friendly pub with a good range of beers. Possibly the best pub in Worthing. Well-worth visiting along with the nearby Seldon Arms and Castle Inn.
|
Liked this pub. Very roomy, bar staff friendly. No parking facilities.

Don't be tempted into the Jack Horner. This pub is brilliant. The decor is proper 'pub', it has a welcoming ambience that hits you as you come in the door. Somehow it manages to be warm in winter and cool in summer. My favourite barmaid works here, the beer is fabulous as is the food. It will probably rate a '10' when the smoking ban comes in as it can get a bit smoky at times.
