Large corner pub, food in one side and drinking in the other. Very poor fake beams around the place - sorry, but these aren't going to fool anyone. Toilets signed ladies, gents and fags - take this as you will. Beer nothing to write home about, and 1-90 for a half of Harvey's is frankly taking the p...

Visited over the weekend. Dark and dingy. Stroppy and rude landlord who was about as welcoming as Nick Clegg at a Labour Conference. And at 3.50 a pint, goodness knows what you're paying for.

Called in on a recent trip to Worthing as it was close to the hotel. On first inspection, outside and in, it looks like an authentic cottage style pub, all beams and interesting little nooks. We hand a few halves of local ale which was good and not overly expensive for the coast. Soaking it all in for a while, it's been a bit "overdone" like the interior of a Harvester that you know full well was finished last week, but box loads of brass, books and the odd watering can have been nailed up to give it that "Olde" rustic / historical look that the tourists seem to like. That said, I didn't mind the place, the staff we're prompt, and the food seem reasonably priced.

A pub of two havles -- food and drink. Cannot speak for the Thai restaurant operation, but the bar area is nicely pub with a decc=ent pint.

Not been in this pub for 20 years or more. What a surprise, called in Sunday Lunch time,( brother-in-laws band were playing in the afternoon) Sunday Roast was very good. First class service from friendly bar staff and a decent pint of Guinness ! They tell me the Thai food will be back. Is it any good ?

Pretty much ditto on last review, friendly and clean, nice mix of people.

I like this place. They show footie but it's not too rowdy, and the beer's ok. They describe it as 'not a fun pub but a traditional pub that's fun'. Guess so. It's also one of those places you don't feel like a Norman-no-mates if you're on your own, which I tend to be, not knowing many yet in Worthing. And you're not made to feel like an unwelcome stranger in these parts. Friendly bar and restaurant staff.

spent saturday night in worthing,so we popped in for a meal, both me and the misses thought the food was excelent the service was good, staff friendly, the atmosphere was good and allthough we only sat in the restraunt bit which was very nice,on my way through to the rope handled toilet the main bar was buzzing without being roudy,I think the over 21 rule helps, my only gripe was there was no real ale, otherwise it would have got a 9

Excellent Sunday Roast, good value. No longer does Thai food

I like this pub, one of my favorites. The Saloon bar is a Thai restaurant which is a shame realy as it was one of the best English restaurants in town. The public bar is a modernised version of real old fashioned bar and it actually works, good beer, good staff and a nice atmosphere.
