Had a meal with friends in the pub on new years eve, large portions, quick service, reasonable prices. good beer. Stayed all evening and listened to a superb live covers band called 'alter ego' who apparently play there regularly, ask the landlord and eat drink and be merry.

Excellent little pub in which me and te missus drove to the other night for a meal i had the Surf and Turf and she had the home made Sweet and Sour Chicken both were very well priced and the portions were very big, the beer itself was nice i had a pint of WJ Kings. The pub itself is very small and being a Thursday it was quite quiet which made it cosy! I would return back to this pub which is 14 miles from where i live even just for a drink if not another meal! Well recommended!

Timeplease, I really can not believe that you say that the food was overpriced and unappetising. We eat and drink in this pub on a regular basis and have never found had any reason to complain. The portions are enormous and at an average of &7.00 for a main course, we think this is good value pub grub. A perfectly cooked T-bone steak for less than 15 with all the trimmings, loads of chips and complimentary pepper sauce is excellent value and they also include salad & bread foc if you ask for it. The salads are to die for and also include potatoes & bread. Their cellar is well kept albeit a limited range. The house cider is brilliant. The owners, staff and customers have always made us feel welcome so we return even if it means driving the 11 miles to get there. This is a good old fashioned pub and well recommended. Timeplease, I thimk your comments are grossly unfair.

Have been to this pub twice this week as it's such lovely place to go. The owners & staff are so friendly and welcoming. The toilets, bar and restaurant are spotless and well furnished. The food is the best I have had in West Sussex and the portions are huge. Maureen's homemade grub is to die for. A little oasis with great ales such as Horsham & Spitfire but the best is the wonderful cider. This pub is well recommended so worth making a special journey, you will not be disappointed.

Friendly local pub with a good atmosphere and very welcoming landlord and lady. Food is good and reasonably priced with an A-la carte menu for the more discerning customer.
