Fullers pub at the northern end of the High Street. Whilst it only stocks Fullers beers - Pride, ESB, HSB & Olivers Island, it's a nice enough little pub with a central bar and a conservatory at the rear. One of the most expensive pubs we found on the island on this visit. It's a pleasant flat walk round the coast from here to Gurnard to the Woodvale Hotel and the Portland Inn up the hill inland in Gurnard Village. Neither are listed on here. But the Portland was one of our favourite pubs of the 14 we tried.

We quite enjoyed this llittle pub which is at the end of the High Street in a narrow lane leading down to the sea (they were setting up for Cowes Week and the area was busy but the pub was a restful retreat and I would imagine gets heaving when the sailing starts. It's a Fullers (ex.Gales) pub and has one bar which serves both sides of the room. There is a dining area off to one side and a smal courtyard at the rear (although a bit too near the loos for our liking). Friendly enough with newspapers to read and a nice pint of Titanic Iceberg which was the guest beer (all others are Fullers ales). Worth a visit.

Nice wee pub, 4 lovely ales to choose from, I had a couple of Seafarers, although was tempted by the HSB and the London Pride. Nice Sandwich menu, not expensive and very tasty to boot.

One of those Fullers nee Gales houses. I went fot the HSB while the others tried the Seafarers. No complaints about the ale it was all drinkable enough. A bit of f dining orientated pub and the tables provide little 'gut rom' for tose nin dining folk. It's okay nothing briliant though.

I am in Cowes on business quite a bit and had to come down off season. Having sampled the food and general vibe of other places I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and all the staff were lovely. Definitely recommend a visit if you are on the Island

Pleasant, friendly pub with pretty good food and pricey beer from Fullers. Worth a look.

We found The Union Inn whilst looking for somewhere to lunch on a day visit to Cowes. Superb sandwiches. Friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere and Good Beer. What more could we need apart from Value For Money and that was there too. We will go there again on our next visit to the Island.

Went there last night for a pub quiz. Great atmoshere, lots of fun and free snacks. recommended for a sunday night rather than staying in, in front of the TV

I like the location of the Union Inn. It had a nice atmosphere when I last went in with the lads earlier in the year. A range of Fullers ales (since its a Fullers pub) so I usually knock back the Chiswick. Kept well. Haven't tried the food so can't comment on that. If you're in West Cowes and get a chance, pop in.

Excellent Pub- Good atmosphere. Under new management, I understand. Good value food with a landlord that knows about customer service- a rare breed nowadays. I will return when next on the island.

This was a lovely little pub wi Gales Best, HSB decent grub (if dear) and a friendly set of staff. A really characterful old buiulding with a great fire and snug. Since it were taken over by Fullers a a year or two since, it has been run by a right bunch of degenerates. They're rough as ar*se holes. The way they treat their punters is abysmal: they make you feel like your very presence there is just an inconvenience to them. In summary a great little pub, made intolerable by the staff. Its a pub on the wane which is a shame cos I wouldn't want to see it go under. Fullers take note: get shot!
