enjoyed many a good meal at this establishment. Lovely pub, friendly staff. Excellent homemade food, owner is the chef so standards always high. Would recommend the drive out. Fantastic views of the countryside even in the winter months open fires make a visit most welcoming .

Only recently discovered the fine watering hole. Good beer and mouth watering home cooked food, servered by very frienly staff. Will be back for more.

I LOVE this pub. Very welcoming and friendly. One occassion when I tried to book a table over the phone there was no reply, but they phoned me back in seconds as they couldn't get to the phone in time! This place just seems to go the extra mile! Always tidy and clean tables, a reasonably priced wine list and reasonably priced food - which is always tasty, home-cooked tasting and nicely presented. All in all an enjoyable and friendly night out.

I agree with Boltontraveller but I and my family go for the food which is always "homemade" and very good indeed.

Ive been a regular of this pub for the last 5 years and find it to be one of the best kept houses for miles around. The owner is also the chef and his specials boad is something to behold. , but the main reason i keep going is the beer. Ive never been served a bad pint and the guest beers change regularly and i believe they heve just been published in the goob beer and food guide by CAMRA
