This is a nice pub in Aylesbury and we went in here after a break of a year and still found it to be good. 2 young people were serving and they done well.
My wife liked her gammon steak though my chicken curry didnt taste much like chicken.
Still would recommend though.

St Austell Tribute not quiet perfect. Very busy at the bar. Staff seemed less than happy but this may have been because they were rather overstetched. Food served quickly - which may have accounted for the 'medium' steak running with blood. However after a daylong tour of Aylesbury this was a a jolly good place to stay over night.

Popped in for a pint on Saturday evening, having not been there for a few years and was very pleasantly surprised. Cask Marqued London Pride at 2.45 and Tribute (from Cornwall) at 2.25. And very good they were. It has been renovated in the past few years and has nice restaurant and bar areas. Didn't sample the food, but it has the same menu as the Bucks Yeoman, where you can get two meals for 8 approx. In the H&J the same is 12. Well worth a visit if you want a decent pint.

Friendly staff, good pub food and three real ales. Service was good even when busy. Best "pub-attached-to-a-Premier-Inn" that I've experienced.

Visited pub on Saturday aprox 8.30 dining room very busy but we were seated within 5 mins. The staff at the food order point very friendly. Meals arrived within 15 mins and was of an excellent standard both in terms of presentation and taste. Staff in both dining and bar area courtious and efficient. I would recommend the Horse and Jockey to both families and adult diners.

Tried this pub on a Thursday evening @ 7pm. We sent a 16 year old to the bar - to see if she would be served.
The drinks were poured and then they asked for ID, she could not produce any but they continued to serve her. They then witnessed her drinking the alchol.
We also tried to order some 'light bite' snacks and were told there was at least 1 1/4 wait.
The pub itself is OK, but the service needs some help!!
