Pub was permanently closed a looooong time ago...

Sadly this pub has now closed. Pop round the corner on the Yeovil road, and in the fork of the Sherborne Road is the Marston Inn; an excellent local with good beer and food.

Great village pub with very good ales - only trouble is that it feels like you're drinking in your gran's front room.

second visit recently on strength of other more positive reviews here on BITE....and yes it was a clear improvement. 4 ales on offer.......1 gone off, 1 flat and nearly gone off, 2 others in excellent condition. and people in the place drinking.. decor still a little odd. better tho...

Have been visiting the area weekly for 3 months, this is a super pub, excellent real ale, friendly, clean, good basic food and enthusiastic team in charge. Decor is idiosyncratic from previous owners but a refreshing change from theme pubs.

Alehouses must have been in on a quiet day. There are four beers on today and was offered tasters of all of them. The Pot Holer from Cheddar Ales is spot on and the Doom BAr was pretty good too. Agree the decor might not be to everyones taste but the welcome from the landlady was friendly and the food is well priced and tasty. Plenty of people in when I visited.

this is dire for beer......3 ales on hand-pump but nobody drinking em! You can't possibly keep them in good condition for ever.....and they're not. interior is decked out like a country-ladies front louge, very twee..... good lord, where's the pub gone?
