The George has reopened on 1st July 2015 after being closed for over one year. It is now run by award winning chef and team. Great food and real ales. Ignore old reviews as this is the first time The George has ever done food. X

Great for real ale, a bit of a dump though

Great real ales from the cask, 3 on when i was there saturday & great real ciders on handpump, good to see no TV's, could do with a clean up but still nice.
|
Superb and varied ales, great live music and some interesting locals! Like it!!!
|
Getting even better. The beers are now on stillage behind the bar. Heaven has come that little bit closer.

One of those pubs that you all wish you had on your doorstep. Now I have, just moved to Bradford and can walk to at least three very good pubs serving very good real ale. Live music here on Fridays and Saturdays so worth a visit. Had a dark stout when I visted recently, very good.

As the Bear has now closed, its no longer an option. The George, though small has a good atmosphere, good beer and a whole range of musical events throughout the week. Worth the walk up from the town.
|
Place too small to be having music and bands. Try 'The Bear' bigger place - more room.

great beer - friendly atmosphere. Good music but too packed for me. Place is a bit small.
