I am not sure what the other contributors might be looking for from this pub.
But if you are looking for a nice spot for a good range of ciders, then this is the place.

I had a quick pint of 6X which was good enough. The place was quiet but friendly enough. Not bad but not great either.

Middle range food at top quality prices- cheap uncomfortabe furniture - take a cushion to sit on if you plan to stay for more than 30 mins.

Horrible redecoration, looks like a hotel lounge, beer nice but expensive, think theyv'e taken it too up market for the local drinkers...... wont be back

The pub has reopened, albeit a bit later than SotonAleDrinker anticipated. Now looks more like a restaurant than a pub. Prices are par for pub grub. Will report further once I have sampled it (and their ale)

Apparently the pub is to reopen this summer as a real ale and cider inn after undergoing a full refurbishment over seven months of renovation by Blindmans Brewery of Leighton, Frome. The brewery, which also runs The Lamb pub in Frome, is apparently going for a very traditional look with local beers & ciders, food and no music. I never thought I would see it reopen after Trust Inns sold it.
