Fabulous building and location. They need to get rid of the plasma screen TV and attract a less hostile customer demographic though.

Butcombe on tap and a big choice of ciders, big beer garden if you're on the oily rags. Old school pub, but there is nothing wrong with that!

Has Thatcher Dry and does various rolls. No, this is not "Mothers", that is the Lamb & Fountain.

Great pub - a proper drinkers pub with good mix of people old and young. Really friendly lot, not clicky like some local pubs can be. Got a huge beer garden hidden out the back. Best pub in the town.

Cracking pub this. Good mix of drinkers old and new this is what pubs are meant to be like. I love the old matchbox collection on the wall. I agree with the last reviewer it is a bit smoky but still a classic pub. The plasma screen on the wall looks a bit out of place though.

A friendly and characterful pub with OK beers, but spoiled for me by being a bit of a fag-smoke trap. Will be interesting to see whether the new non-smoking legislation improves this, or forces them out of business!
