Bland family dining type pub - feels like drinking/eating in McDonalds. The reviews below seem pretty good, so I'm guessing that this has gone down hill recently, which is a shame as this could be a nice place.
Ale was awful (probably my own fault for choosing hobgoblin) and the food was dire.

This pub is gr8 fun especially the 10p game! i recently took part in the quiz and it was great fun, as the quizmaster really knows what their doing, i think the barman is ok, but their hair is a bit odd, great food, great beer, great staff, so i think you should come and join in and improve your drinking sessions, big up da sherston!

I am relatively new to this area and in all my drinking days (there have been a few!!) this is the only pub I have ever felt comfortable visiting on my own (and with friends of course!) This is down to Matt & Sue and the clientele making me feel EXTREMELY welcome. The food is yummy and very reasonably priced. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly bar staff also. The fortnightly quiz nights, open mic nights and family fun days throughout the year make the visits worthwhile. Well done to all at The Sherston - see you again VERY SOON!

Matt and Sue have transformed this pub, it is now a brilliant place to meet and socialise. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, good selection of beers, great food. Always something going on.

My family and I visited Wells recently for the first time in a couple of years. We wre amazed, we remembered a dingy pub with no customers and no atmosphere, what a change! The pub has been spruced up and they now do a great selection of locally produced food and cater for kids as well. The new owners have smartened up the garden and its great as it in enclosed and safe. We arrived and parked for a couple of hours, and ended up staying the night in room 3, clean, tidy. We will be back
