Not a pub!

Definitely no longer a pub but a Greek restaurant.

Closed a couple of week's ago. Becoming a Tapas bar.

Hi All I'm new to this site but I had to voice my opinion about what a lovely night I had the other night at The Vaults in Shepton Mallet. The landlords were extremely friendly and looked after me all night. I eat and drink out in some of the best pubs around the country, even though it wasn't the most modern of interiors the atmosphere was great and the wine kept flowing!!! I'll be going back very soon that's for sure. A great pub that's worth a visit!!!!

Unusual and full of very young people. Had a couple then left quickly
Mumsy pub with older crowd
Can't understand what is going on here. Food stopped. Afternoon hours cut right back. Shuts any when from 8-30 pm in the evening. Friday just gone 9-45 pm!
New landlords. Better than the last, very friendly couple. Ales were very good and well kept. They keep you on your toes by changing them often with a good range upto 3 at a time. Some hard work and passion going on here. Made a welcome change.
Has now changed hands. Nothing seems to have changed except quite a few of the original customers seem to have left with the old landlord. Ales were of poor quality.
New landlord now - since last week
Appaently now sold

All i can say about this pub is that its one of the most friendly places i have been in. the landlord and staff are brilliant and the beer is excellent. the only downside is that the landlord is an ARSENAL supporter.
A controlled premises with mainly older people. Stated to be on market still. Boyfriend says ale not up to much.
About the best pub in Shepton mallet. That's not saying a great deal but at least the regulars are vaguely human and the beer is OK
Not for younger people
not a bad pub;beer is nice & staff are friendly enough(although 1 or 2 appear a bit strange).I found it a bit disconcerting the way the landlord and his son(?)appear to dress alike;would this have anything to do with in-breeding?The customers are a metropolitan sort of crowd but appear friendly nontheless.I certainly will go there again for the bon-homie and witty repartee the landlord spouts with great aplomb.

i think the comments of chanttele bellow are quite frankly a bit harsh . and to be honest i'm a little bit upset for the staff who have been nothing but big bags of fun each time i've been in their for a swift half . i understand the landlord is taking a long overdue and well deserved holliday at the momment . . and good luck to him i say
Same bloke as two years ago so no change. Still miserable and unwelcolming in my opinion!
must have had a change of landlord ( funny little man with grey hair , spurs fan i think ) seems to work tirelessly to make sure your having a good time . lot's of young women in their on a saturday night . i was one of the oldest men at 25 . staff can't do enough for you .
had a carnival nite tankard of bass, certainly better than the crown!!!!!!!6/10
Seems to be going downhill. Client base getting rougher. May have been a bad couple of visits, but staff not friendly.

Ok but quiet. The average age is quite high and a few of the towns aggro specimens getting in there now. Well run place though,

This is a good pub to go to if your just looking to have a quiet chat over a few drinks.
Clean tidy place but was the only person under 60 there! Staff OK
