Food was cheap I meant !

A Marstons Inn pub with Ringwood best & 49er as well as Jennings Cumberland ale on tap. The 49er was fine. Good was cheap too. A typical chain pub, but pleasant enough and spacious inside. Dog friendly too.

Adequate, run-of-the-mill type of pub. Nice pint of Old Thumper served by friendly staff.

Ringwood Best, forty Ninner, Old Thumper. Nice pint! Background music - Special Nights Curry/Fish/Grill

Ringwood best, 49er, old thumper and Marstons Old Empire on this evening, shame the union flags were upside down!

average pub, the drinks menu is good but the service time can be a bit slow since the changeover.
food is not too bad considering the price.

Nice pint of Forty Niner, I managed several over a recent weekend, nice breakfast too, the rooms weren't bad, a bit tatty but as we were leaving they were starting a refurb. A friendly pub in a friendly town and ery nicely placed for touring the New Forest.

I agree with the comment below. Normal, run of the mill chain type establishment. Music was a tad too loud for me and any place with a 'sports bar' out back doesn't bode well. At least there were a couple of Ringwood ales on... as you should expect being only a stones throw from the brewery. (Best and Old Thumper). The bar staff were friendly and I was promptly served. I have eaten here before, too. The tables were a tad grimey - the place could've done with a clean. Nice location, however, facing the main town square.

This should be the best in town but falls far short. An old coaching inn, it would have been the top spot in town once, the place where the local worthies wined and dined, had their weddings and wakes and Rotary dinners.
Alas no more, very much a mediocre chain pub complete with the usual microwave menu and poor beer quality, run for the benefit of the accountants. No need to linger.

I simply can't find anything good to say about this pub, Marstons should be ashamed of themselves. Poor beer, depressing atmosphere, uninterested staff, bland inside, spoiled outside. Can't comment on the food and that is my most upbeat comment My rating, based on three visits, 2 during the day one in the evening? 3 and I'm being generous.

This pub seems to have gone downhill, especially since it was taken over by Marstons. I hope that a similar fate doesn't await Ringwood Brewery and The Inn On The Furlong. The beer is far too cold, probably because it is being chilled to the same temperature as the lager! The guest ale, on the few occasions it is available, is invariably undrinkable. The only good thing about the recent changes is that the food has improved.

Great staff. Great food at reasonable prices. Great service. Great beer. Better for the 40+ age group. Special senior citizens two for the price of one discounts midweek lunchtimes. Tie it in with a visit to Ringwood market on a Wednesday morning.

Decent enough pub after the relentless bars of Bournemouth. Ringwood tasted lovely, and Pedigree was also available but when in Rome... Carvery was good value and the landlady was very pleasant.

Restaurant? Pub? Im confused, preferred this pub befor it was turned into a restrant

Good food but variable service. Short of bar staff. Short of an ale selection although the ringwood best bitter was a good pint.
