This pub has really gone down hill in the last year; cloudy beer and stale sandwiches.

As much as I dont want to knock a pub that has a picture of Tom Jones behind the bar, its always disappointing to walk into a place and find an unmanned bar. What does bar etiquette say about how long to leave it before helping yourself.

Having suffered my one man mexican standoff for 10 mins, the fella comes and serves me a decent pint of doom bar.

Great pub - really improved since Phil took over - food still a bit expensive for the quality but sandwiches are good - on the right tracks - Support this pub best trad pub in the area.

Popped in following a dog walk in nearby Windsor Great Park (or the 'Royal Landscape' as the rebranders would have it) and had some lovely pub food (sandwiches, baked potato, burger) as well as a decent pint of Green King London Glory. Other beers were Sharps Doombar and Fullers London Pride. Dogs are allowed though we left ours in car, service was efficient and friendly, and pub looking very smart. Definitely be back.

We were in the Sun Inn for new year 2011/12 in the afternoon and night. Lovely, warm, small crowd. Management and locals could not have been more friendly. Simple food, but served promptly and not expensive. Good selection of beers, but this is really somewhere to visit for the atmosphere. Worth stopping if you are in the neighborhood.

I hired the Sun inn on 22nd October 2011, after our wedding the previous day at Great Fosters. We made a great choice. We hired part of the pub and for food they provided a hog roast, which was fantastic. The owners (Joanne and Phil), could not have done anymore to make our day better. They pretty much let us have the run of the place and also allowed us to bring in a few Traditoinal Irish musicians, which created a great atmosphere. Selection of ale/lager on tap is very good and the pub has a very nice vibe to it, but as with all pubs this is down to the friendliness of the staff and owners. Sun has this in spades. Will definitely be back, next time I am in the area, as will the 70 odd guests we had with us I am sure.

This is not a pub that I would ever go back to, the food was too expensive, the service was very poor and the toilets were dirty

Visited this pub today to discover it has new owners. Really lovely welcome. We had a roast beef and a prawn sandwich for lunch. Absolutley fantastic! Beautiful bread with plenty of filling with a side salad and crisps! Only sad we couldn't stay for their sausage and mash in the evening. Will be returning next Monday to sample it!

Wonderful pub!
Stopped by last Sunday after a walk in Windsor Great Park. Loved the welcome we received, like visiting family
Food was good
Cant wait to go back to Windsor area to be able to visit again

My favourite pub in the area. The garden is great in the summer and the wood fire is lovely in the winter. The beer (Young's) has always been fresh and there is a good selection of whiskies and liqueurs. The only problem is the inconvenient location on the edge of Windsor Park (but on a sunny day that can be a bonus anyway).

A wonderful, friendly good old fashioned pub! Open fires, welcoming to dogs and a good pint. I love it!

Expensive. A pub trying to carve out a living purely on it's location. Sad as it could be great.

a few visits recently with friends.what a shame a very nice pub.the food was bland.the stella ok.it appears that the landlord and landlady have been there over 20 years.i think it is time to move on.a wellcome smile would not go amiss.so unfriendly.

Nice local type pub hidden away in the back lanes of Englefield Green.

Also suffered from a sour pint of TEA but made the most of trainman's advice and got it changed straight away. The new barrel made all the difference.

Looks good outside and in (Inn) but, oh dear, what a let down the TEA was after enjoying a very good version of the same at the Fox & Hounds. Came up clear but somehow managed not to realise how flat & sour it was until it was too late to realistically ask for a change. Returned 3 half-drunk pints to bar on way out and mentioned it wasn't right. Some helpful punter at the bar suggested we'd made a bad choice as it hadn't been served for a coupla hours. I won't relay the friendly advice I could have dispensed in return.

Hidden down a country lane and bordering Windsor Great Park, a mere five minute walk away from Saville Garden, this pub is a delight. It has a real open fire in winter and a great little garden for the summer. Food is expensive but I can recommend the Sunday Roast, Always busy on a Sunday tho and a bit full of old people but still lovely traditional English pub.
