Light and confortable. Beautiful! I went for a short break with my family and it was good. Very good ale

Barman completely ignored me and served someone else who just came in off the street. When we finally did get served had to take two lots of bitters back for being undrinkable.
Dreadful. Avoid.

Airy, light, modernised pub with varied and comfortable seating, just up the road from the Exhibition Centre. Spitfire and Pride on but not tried as I was feeling jaded from several hours at the GBBF!
Strongbow was perfectly ok, served in a sparklingly clean glass, but pretty pricy for the area (exact figure escapes me.)
Food not tried, but looked good. Board games and books avaliable. Friendly young staff.
Point lost for putting a row of stools either side of an already narrow aisle to the toilets.

Walked past this place half a dozen times going to other pubs in the area, nothing about the outside or the inside seemd to give me any incentive to go in.
|
This place maybe ok for a drink on a weekend night when out with a large group or maybe for the football which can be seen on a projector screen, but make sure you take plenty of money as I was charged 1.90 for a half of Guinness.
There is a bar upstairs which was closed on my daytime visit, but if it is anything like the main bar it is probably worth missing.

The Prince of Teck. Light & airy & modern. Corner location with lots of clear glass windows. Feels kinda continental. One of the people I was chatting with said he used to come here before it was refurbished, and it was full of character and Australians. It still serves VB in bottles, so I expect a few Aussies do pop in! Only two casks - London Pride and Spitfire. The Spitfire was sour, so I think they struggle with even just the two casks.

Terrible place - trying to be a cross between a sports bar and a pub with wine bar furnishings and ending up being a poor effort at any of the three. Dodgy tasting ice cold beer (Pride or Spitfire) not worth drinking either. On the plus side staff seemed friendly enough, and a good place to watch idiots sparring (two 'handbags' efforts in the half hour I was there). Wouldn't return.
|
Partly refurbished bar with little sense of character. Two real ales on, including a very strange tasting pint of Spitfire (not off, and not pipe cleaner, but very peculiar). Friendly barstaff, though.

If drunk antipodeans are your thing this is the place for you

I was disappointed with this place cause some lunatic came in off the street and drank my and my mates beer and hit him in the head so we either got in a punch up or left - and we left. In shock as you could imagine and I guess it could happen anywhere but the staff was nowhere to be found to help either, and the service seemed slow beofre that happened as well which was no good. To be fair, the pint I had a bit of before it was consumed wasn't bad, and it was a proper pub, lot of people eating and having a good Friday night.
|
Was in here last friday with my mate thought this was a decent boozer. Everyone seemed to be steamin which I thought was pretty cool because I was steamboats myself by this point. Will try and pop in sometime. Friendly pub to sit and people watch.

Ground floor bar has a big screen for the footy although bizarrely all the seats are spread out round the edges of the pub leaving a massive empty strip in front of the screen consisting of people getting in each other's way.
That said the beer was OK and the bar staff capable. Didn't stay too long after the footy but it is very convenient to Earls Court and a lot less pretentious than the Kings Head round the corner (which doesn't show the footy).
With a front door and a side door you'll be in a constant draft from smokers going in and out - a modern day hazard of the public house.

Place has changed a substantial amount since last visit, not is split into two rather like The Windsor Castle in Clapham!

Must have chosen the wrong night to avail of the pub's charm and atmosphere. The charm was of the lesser variety, probably due to the shouty woman looking for a fight at the bar. Eventually she was asked to leave, I believe. The atmosphere consisted of a table or two of VERY LOUD BLOKES IMPRESSING THE LADIES competing with some of the most indistinguishable "rock" tunes I've heard. The table we had the fortune to plonk ourselves down at was covered with ash and litter.
Fair play to the staff who were admirably courteous and friendly. I think I'd lose my mind working in this hell hole. I left with a headache and a feeling of disappointment. Sorry.

I was freezing my balls of the other day in dirty ol' Earl's Court when I spied this cheeky looking boozer opposite the tube (well kind of opposite if your head is wonky!).It looked pretty busy so I ventured in and waited at the bar for no more thatn twenty seconds when a fit young lady served me a great pint of hand pulled bitter. I left six hours later having made chums with all of the staff and manager, with a warm glow in my cheeks, a phone number for a potential date and a favourite watering hole for next time I hit Earl's Court. Top notch, tally ho! N.K.K.Jones of Devon. Ten out of Ten Shame about the hangover next day....

Went here just before christmas. packed to the rafters with my fellow iron maiden fans for the gig that night, but the staff were competent and the drinks were great and fairly priced for the area. and they had the new iron maiden album blaring out duo to most of the people in the pub heading to the gig after :)
|
Went to this pub recently - hot girls serving behing the bar and good honest pub grub on offer. What more do you need! great little find will definatly be back.
|
Went here the other day. It's a grand old place full of life and lots of hotties to perv over! The manager is the tall fella I think and he is lovely, seems to be a bit of a comedian though. I laughed my head off when I said that he had his thumb on my steak. He replied "that's to make sure it doesn't fall on the floor again". Ha ha! NJ> K to the K. 9/10, brilliant place.
|
went in here the other day, reasonable choice of beers and bitter and friendly service
|
If you're a guy with self-respect you could do better than to trust some of the women who go here. Beer range is a bit boring and typical but not bad. Slightly random choice of books.
|
Well the name is bizarre for a start, but not unusual on the inside of this pub. Reading material as well which is always a good addition to a pub. Decent range of drinks, so i'd say a good place to come to
|
I has certainly gone downhill since the former manager (Steve) left...
|
The Sunday Roast was awful and overpriced. Asked for chips with the pie and paid for additional chips, as the pie already came with chips.

I love the Prince Of Teck. Not for the fact it was one of my locals but because of the great attitudes that the staff have! I have been going to The Prince Of Teck for about four years and seen both ownership and management change a few times, but the atmosphere has always been great and I have always felt a welcoming you don't often feel in many other pubs. I'm in New Zealand now but the first place I will go when I hit England again will be The Prince Of Teck. Hoorah... Go The Teck!!
|
Okay for the area, but nothing special.
|
Love this pub, love the staff, think the manager rocks! Cheers for the free bottle of wine. Busy place but tonnes of fun.

Very cool pub, can get a bit crowded but has a great feel to it.

Good ale selection, fast, friendly barstaff, has a nice open decor, gets a good crowd. Yet, still has a chain feel about it.
|
Lively pub at the weekends, particularly if there is a live football or rugby game. Often quite smokey. Food served is very good and reasonably priced, staff vary between able/attentive and rude/surly. Toilets are in good nick with a porn vending machine last time I was there.
|
A great bar, great staff, great beer, great watching the aussies get stuffed at rugby one ale filled afternoon...great!!
|
Fun, atsomospheric and always pumping, never had a bad time there, staff are among the best I've encountered.

Far too pricey for us, nice decor but paying well over three pounds for a bottle is too much.average staff too.

Recently refurbished into a stunning little modern bar with friendly staff, good music, and great beer. Used to be a dive but I'm now there at least 3 times a week
