I sometimes use this pub for watching football and dropped in on Saturday lunchtime. London Pride and Bombardier were on tap and the Pride was in fine condition. Food looks a bit cheap and cheerful and too many kids running around for my liking, but generally friendly and great for people watching...

I went to this pub again recently. From talking to the locals, the food has improved a bit, but I found management is still 'Peter Pan' and his little band of sycophants. The place needs taking in hand.

The Surrey in my opinion is the pits. The beer is poorly maintained. the food menu seems extensive but when ordering it was our fifth choice before what we asked for was available. children were running around screaming and the staff did not try and intervene. Truly terrible.

You know what? I don't know if these other reviewers have been to a different pub or something, but I certainly didn't see any of this kind of thing. Nothing annoys me more than people who give a negative review based on nothing more than air. As a regular at The Surrey I have to say that the place has improved immensely from the previous licensees, and the staff now, although young, are friendly, fun and professional. They deal with trouble well (on the rare occasion that it happens), and give a professional service in both food and drink. They are even displaying their recent Cask Marque award with pride. They've got Live Entertainment, Karaoke every fortnight, and trust me, they know how to throw a party. Good locals drinking spot, and newcomers welcome too, especially to eat the vastly improved food!! Ignore the liars below who went to some other pub, this is a good pub.

There are far too many children in this pub. They run around until all hours. They could do with a bit of maturity behind the bar also. The real ale is way too cold. I didn't sample the food, but it seemed to be 'Pub Fast'

Bad beer, and I've been short changed too many times for it to be an accident. My friend complained about her food and it came back with spit in it.

A big shed of a place with lots of different areas with in it. Bit over done on the presentation and more akin to a Midlands pub but don't start me there (Solihull is supposed to be posh, go there then leave immediately before you grow old and tired of life). A Courage pub I guess as they have the usual selection from Directors to Best. I usually opt for the Directors as this gets me to where I want to be faster with out taking the liquid volume of Best. And where I want to be is not walk to and fro to the can all night. Food is brill especially with the 2 for 10 quid offers. The place is a bit of a youth club attracting pop swilling lads and hoped earring ladies of a certain class. It's all fine and adds to its charm which is however limited.

I love this pub, great for a game of darts and to watch the football, damm good food and friendly bar staff who are fit!

Under new management and lively on Friday and Saturday nights mainly before people head into town. Freezing cold Newky Broon and a fine football team. Big screen TV which is always showing the big games and gets packed out when England are playing. Only downer is the lack of things for kids to do since they scrapped the Funky Forest.

Rubbish pub, no atmosphere at all

Ok pub. Next to busy road full of boy racers. AVOID the food here. I sent my steak back to be cooked. It came back untouched! God only knows where the staff have been beamed down from.
