Thursday night is music night and packed out plus 6 real ales on most of the time.Becoming one of the best pubs in town.
Excellent make over. Good beer range and above average food.
Now the Emperor, very good start though higher turnover will further improve quality of the enterprising beer range. Pizzas were very good.
Now opened as the Emperor.
Still closed and covered in scaffolding.
This pub has been closed now for a couple of months with no sign of change.
There's an unfriendly feel about this place, and the oversize TV removes any atmosphere that may have been present. So many better pubs close by.
limited ales, Sport on TV and packed full of losers getting drunk and hassling the ladies. If you want good ale there are far better pubs only a few minutes walk away.
pint of black sheep ale in this pub on the way into town from the station.7/10
more flies than ive ever seen before, strangest locals ive ever known, and it was good of the barmaid to prize herself away fromm live8 to serve me. avoid at all costs!
The place is a little short on atmosphere and the Barmaid was pretty unfriendly (tried to fob me off with the last pint in the barrel of Adnams but strangely was happy enough to change it when requested.) It's not a bad boozer for a couple of swift jars and handy enough for meeting up in (close to the station) but there are far better pubs in Cambridge if it's a session you're after.
Nice pub, good food, friendly. If it wasn't out of my way I'd go much more often.
I joined Phil with the Sunday roast, and we got a bonus pudding at no extra charge.
Cracking home made Sunday roasts.
I'm convinced that the barman who served us yesterday used to work at The Mill in Kingston, and was a regular pool player at the Hog & Stump (now the Kingston Tup).
