Should be good in a town where there is no competition , alas not , lots of bad attitude and coke in the evening , by day full of DHSS deadbeats . Shame !!

Aaa its not all that bad! Yes, not your typical pub, its quite a trendy little bar. And Crowborough does not have too many trendy or even semi trendy places to hang out. Bugattis and the Cross is not everyones cup of tea. But each to their own.
Unlike many of Crowboroughs hang out spots, You dont feel like some disease is going to growl onto you when you walk through the door. The doorman looks rather scary, but is it not part of his job? With this in mind, I would much rather spend a night in High Spirits and be referred to as a goldfish.
I think Crowborough needs a place like this, its just a shame that they do not get a lot of business.

Don't know how long this place has been open, bbut it's taken me until now to force myself over the threshold. This sort of place simply does not belong in England, it's awful, close it.

High Spirits packed on Friday and Saturday with all types of wannabees and people who want to be "seen around the scene" Ok if your over 30 with a very friendly bank manager. Its like looking at Goldfish in a Goldfish bowl at the weekends as you walk past the steamed up windows with peoples faces pressed against the condensation ridden glass. And the doorman is an arrogant so and so too.

I'm sorry biut this sort of place not work in somewhere like Crowborough. Highspirits might work on the Fulham Rd but not croft rd Crowbororough with the Farmers going by on thier tracters. Also it seemed on the afternoon we visited that it was the Bar Staff Entertains their mates day. Avoid.
