I know this place was crap, but I'm a little confused at why you keep slating it as it has been a Slug and Lettuce for nearly a year now.

should turn this pub into Adams, you know the clothes shop that nearly went bust a couple of months ago, it would boost its very important parlimentary constituentcy of the c ia, adam on a popo, jimmy the fishmonger revenue. why waste such good land like this on a haha, as i say i laugh all the way to the bank when i rate these little poopers

This Pub is Closed and changed hands over a year Ago See new Profile for Slug & Lettuce

Now a Slug and Lettuce, so it's still boring and expensive, but the walls are a different colour. And the food isn't as good.

I only went in here just to see what it was like I had a Quick pint then left. It was just too full of non drinkers for my liking it seemed more like a cheap restaurant than a Pub. There was hardly anyone drinking Beer it was just full of foodies eating & Coffee drinkers. The odd few people that were drinking were only having a glass of wine or cocktails. So I left & went to the Well opposite much better more like a real drinkers Bar with Good Guinness.

Re-opened as a Slug & Lettuce a couple of weeks ago.

ALL CHANGE!! Ha Ha is no more; Slug and Lettuce on it's way. Opening soon. Should be interesting, although i doubt it will be much different.

I spent an early afternoon in here and thought that the 6.80 for 2 pints of lager was a little extreme. The barman/manager kept disappearing from behind the bar to do more interesting things. When he did return he would give table service, but its a pub and not a restaurant (or is it?).
The place was empty except for the tables by the big window front where the youngsters were posing because they were in the most expensive pub around. I had to leave when a plate of the strongest and foulest smelling pasta covered cheese dish was served.
Maybe they should rename it Ego Central.

Friendly but mad busy for a Tuesday night.. grabbed the seats by the window & had a good night all in all, nice decor (squishy sofas, candles on all the tables etc).
|
Friendly service and friendly crowd, good for chilling out and usually plenty of good looking girls and boys around. Yes, it's a chain pub/bar and yes it's pricey, but it's a nice enough place to spend an afternoon or evening.

If posing in the kind of way only a north london princesses can do this is your place.Make sure you extend your overdraft before going in, most of the high street banks are within a minutes walk....
|
expensive. a pint of westons cider is about 3.40 - 3.60
nice but bring plenty of cash with you.
|
Young crowd, pretty standard 'chain' decor. Agree on being pricey and slow service but been to worse places. TVs dotted about showing sports. Think they have Quiz nights on Monday.

dont know the price of the drinks...we were having jugs of cocktails... 13 for a jug of JackDaniels & Apple juice (so hard to find!!! most pub dont do it!)
the barmaid was gorjus... n very friendly :)
speaking of which so was the baldy bouncer...said hello and good bye...
felt like i stuck our like a sore thumb...most of the punters were commercial/buisness...all dressed in suits...but me n my mates didnt let that bother us...
i do agree it too ages to be served...the bar is quite small and theres more staff looking after customers who are sat down eating than the ones standing at the bar...
gave the girl a tip jus cuz she looked so cute..she did take ages to make the jug cocktail...but i wasnt complained..i enjoyed the view...altho my mates werent too happy waiting patiently...
nice lil cosey atmosphere tho...so i give it a 6/10

Possibly the most expensive pub in Muswell Hill and that is saying something ! If the place had a great atmosphere and the service was great then it might be worth the extra money but, sadly, it takes forever to be served by the staff who on the visits I've made have always had a face like a smacked bum...
|
i had lunch in this bar; homemade fish fingers, with fries and minted mushy peas; it was truly deliscious, but about 8 quid, i wont be affording to eat there on a regular basis. Loveley in side and the bar maid was really nice, but wey too expensive for regular visits.
|
Very expensive for a chain bar. The service is terrible and always has been, and the atmosphere doesn't exsist
