Royal Inn, Parback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Nice pub with a fairly modern interior directly opposite Par railway station. Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular ale here. The guest was St Ives Boiler's. It is fairly open-plan and seemingly attracts a fairly wide-range of customers, including local workers, travellers and families. It was fairly busy, especially compared to our next stop, which was the Packhorse Inn at St Blazey (another not listed on BITE).

The only good thing about this pub is it's proximity to the railway station.
My pint of Doombar was ok but the place had zero atmosphere. Turn the big telly off with the news on, dim the lights a bit and put some background music on!

Great rooms, but not impressed with the pine furniture. The Honey Monster tasted a bit off, but the Special was OK. Very quiet on a Saturday night, no atmosphere, but probably better when there are more people there.

Nice place to stay, food's good, there's a quiz machine, pool table any sky sports.

Good Ales, pleasant open pub. Decor is heavy on the pine, food is fair fare.

Visited this pub the other when I had an hour or so to kill in Par before catching a train. Literally over the road from the station, I found the pub welcoming and friendly, with a pleasant atmosphere. Being from East Anglia I ignored the two guest ales (Greene King Abbot and Old Speckled Hen - I can get those anytime) and went for a couple of pints of Sharp's Doom Bar, which I can only describe as faultless. A few people were a little miffed that no food is served after 14.30 even on a weekend, however that is only a small gripe about what is otherwise a pub well worth a visit.

Lovely place, excellent accomodation with a proper good English breakfast sourced with local produce. Very convenient to the Eden Project & Par railway station

Loved this pub when it was the Wychway, pardon my spelling! Nice to stop, and food is good, and is just over the road from the railway station!
