Personally I wasn't that impressed with this place.
Ale was very average and overly priced.
Not my cup of tea.

First visi earlier this week and will certainly not be my last. Very comfortable pub with excellent beer & food. What more could you ask for?

Well worth a visit, three cask Thwaites ales available. The refurbishment has fortunately been done more tastefully than many. Didn't try the food although the menu looked good.

Now called the 'Inn at the Station', the bar is relocated and the pub has been fully refurbished. There is a strong emphasis on food, but still enough 'pub feel' about the place. Has a spacious outside drinking area, which is a great sun-trap. Cask ales were Thwaites Original, Wainwrights and the new IPA. The last-mentioned was in very good form. Prices are at the more expensive end of the scale (2.80 for the IPA), but the pub is well worth a visit and handy for the railway station.

Thwaites pub, normally has real ale but had run out on my visit

Stayed here with some of the family from 27 - 31 July. Agree with the previous comments, accomodation is pleasant by pub standards (not suitable for those who can't cope with a few stairs, however!) The staff very welcoming and helpful, and a nice location. Also good breakfast as long as you like full English (I do!!!)

I stayed in the hotel above the pub. It's cheap, the rooms are clean. Good central location for Clitheroe and opposite the train station! There was also some mention of being able to help yourself to a drink during the night if you felt the need but we were already too drunk and tired to bother! Friendly people in Clitheroe!

Friendly pub with hotel accomodation. Good food and beers available. Table footy and pool table, large projection screen for the footy during tornaments, quizzes etc.
