Finally made my first visit on Sunday night, been wanting to go for ages as it's only a couple of minutes walk from my house. I was greeted with a very warm welcome and enjoyed a perfect pint of Moorhouse Brewery Blond Witch; hopefully one day I'll get to enjoy a pint of their other beer: Witches Brew. Beer festival starts Wednesday, fingers crossed I can finish work early one night this week and get there before last orders.

Busy pub with friendly staff, I had the Blackthorn whilst my friends both had the Otter which they thought was in good nick. Oh, and its not that far up the hill boys, I was expecting a trek when I saw some of the comments, its nothing to worry about.

Realy good
worth the travel. and Im always met with a smile.
See you in there

Alway did keep good ales. A bit too near my ex-wife though.

I think this is well worth the trek up the hill. A warm and friendly welcome, 4 or 5 great ales on tap, cheese or ham crusty rolls for just 1 and now home to the (soon to be) world-reknowned Garlic Appreciation Society!

Somehow I rated this place 8 but my review (Aug 07?? when Bath City played Hereford in a friendly) never appeared. The Otter ale was excellent that day and subsequent sporadic visits have never disappointed. Just pick up the place and put it at the bottom of the hill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first visit to the White Horse and what a pleasant surprise. Very handy for the football ground and fortunately a downhill roll! Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild on gravity - it doesn't get much better than this!

Love this pub, we first came here last year when they had been open for a short time and having seen the pub establish itself over the last year has been great. I agree with a previous post, it keeps getting better. The draught ale is spot on too, the Otter here is fantastic, could do with a quality lager on but you cant have it all. The staff are great, it was pretty much first name terms from the start and, and always friendly. They are very keen on the ale and know a lot about what they have on, three/ four ales on at once which ensures your never bored

This is how pubs should be - good beer, friendly staff, and a real centre for the community. The landlady even gives computer classes which are much more user-friendly than those that treat the computer illiterate as dimwits. Well done, everyone at the White Horse!

Excellent beer, friendly staff, great pub.

Getting better and better, Beer garden and Boules Piste out the back. Constantly changing beers.

Went in for the first time in a long while, wow its clean staff are friendly.... did you ever meet the previous owners!!
Still 4 beer engines, but no courage.. and have been told it will never be back in wooo! Doom Bar, Otter and Hobgoblin are standard ales with a guest SIBA ale on. Live music ever saturday night and again have been told they are trying the live band route. Food menu limited which is a shame but overall worth a visit.
