I had the misfortune to order a veggie burger here recently. It consisted of a frozen burger slapped in a 'plastic' bread bun - dry, dull and totally lacking in any care. The chef and management should be ashamed. This is the worst kind of pub food. I could have made the same thing at home for 30 pence.

Nice pub and thankfully met a really nice bartender after first being served by what I can only call a dyed blonde hair chav cow who rather bark a price than tell you what wines were being served. The food was ok the chili fries were spicy to say the least. I don't really think I'd go back unless I was in the area (like down the road). The history of the place was ok but they need staff all like the one bartender that was nice and all conversation.

They have a superb quiz night on thursday nights with cash prizes free hot snacks and very good company and very friendly staff and clientel.

I would recommend it to anyone, we eat there regularly and the food is very nice, and reasonably priced.

sounds like a wonderful pub shame its about to be spoilt with jay and anna going in as bar managers and simon as a cook watch the stock and the takings go down now

We have just had a fantastic time here. We all ordered food from the specials board and were truly amazed by the quality. The waitress was very helpful (even with one slightly awkward member of our group) - the whole experience was a pleasure. Especially as my wife offered to drive so my friend and I could sample the full range of real ales.

Very ye olde pub with exposed beams and open fireplace. Restaurant used to look very tired but back to its old best. You can tell this place has new management! Great food and a great atmosphere in the bar area also- can particul;arly recommend sunday roast

Our kids enjoyed adventure playground outside-but obv need a sunny day!

Beautiful country pub with massive open fireplace in one bar. Visited as after-match drinks when my cricket team played the local side and the bar snacks that were layed on were very good..apart from the raw Jalopenos in the nachos that nearly succeeded in taking the top of my head off ! A couple of nice pints of Timmy Taylor's Landlord rounded off a very pleasant visit.
