This bar is sound. Great Guinness! from friendly staff set in relaxed atmosphere. The crowd you find in there are friendly too no end of craic. What i would really recommend though is the great music and talent on show. So if you appreciate great peolple, music and surroundings pop in it's worth a look.

Think I know the guy you're on about - tall, dark hair? My mate fancies him too.

Some real hot barmen work here. Does anyone know if the barman with the brown beaded neckless is single?

There is always a great vibe about this pub. It is the funkiest bar in Downpatrick and its dishes out fanastic musical talent. Mullan's attracts people of all age groups and there is always a chilled atmosphere is the air. WARNING do not head to Downpatrick for a pub-crawl, 'cos once you hit Mullan's you won't want to head anywhere else!

this pub is great.. well know for its diverse musical qualities. such acts as ASH, HENRY MCULLOUGH (WINGS, JOE COCKERS GREASE BAND) & RICHIE HAVENS (WOODSTOCK) have all hung out and played tunes here. pub owner SPEEDY MULLAN is well celebrated within the irish blues circles. well known for his chicago blues harmonica styles and powerful voice. his son RONAN also a great musician covers as house drummer and can slam the guitar to hendrix, little feat and ry cooder numbers. visit this pub any time and get a warm welcome from the bar staff and a cool pint sit by the fireplace and enjoy the craic. traditional irish music sessions every sunday. well worth it.
