I believe this is now called 'The Wasps Best. Still a very nice pub, almost has a village pub feel to it. Quite a small place but it has a large outdoor area. The bar itself is in an L-shape . Beers on the bar were- Roundhill Gillingham Pale Ale, Black Rat by the Rat brewery and another Porter (not sure of the name). I went for the Black Rat at quite a reasonably 3.10. It was quite well kept and a decent beer. Locals were friendly and the bar staff were decent. Solid pub in Stockton

Top pub/club. This really is like an oasis in a desert of crap pubs. Not cheap, but classy and the bouncers are selective in a good way. head here for a scally free, peaceful but lively nite, if you can get in...

Yes, it is the "classiest" pub in Stockton but there's not exactly any competition.
Full of pretentious wannabes wearing wristbands "for charity" of course not fashion purposes at all, who care more about looking cool and what they are wearing than having a good time, in reality they spent their clothes shop wages on a new Prada top so that bottle of Bud they clutch will last all night.
Does a nice pint of Kronenbourg Blanc, however the 3.50 charge for it is ridiculous.

This is the best pub in Stockton by a country mile. Expensive but well worth it for a comfortable, clean, peaceful atmosphere. Pleasant staff, good music that doesn't burst your eardrums, and allows conversation. I don't know why people would drink elsewhere.

Stands out as classiest and most modern pub in stockton - probably gives the northern monkeys an idea of what a night out in Islington is like.
