Great pub with a nice atmosphere. Popular with students so gets a lot of big groups in the student season. It does have a dedicated assortment of regulars too, so it has a nice mix of punters.
Scholars has two real ales, Reverend James and Speckled Hen. Fairly average prices, but the beer is well kept and the staff friendly.
This was the first pub I went in when I arrived in Aberystwyth last year, and have been going back regularly ever since.

Good pub for a drink after work or a chilled weekend drink. Pool table upstairs, lots of sofas downstairs, good beer - all round a good pub.

Awesome bar, spend a lot of my time here. Quid for a bottle of grolsh, decent enough pool table, and quiet in the day, students heaven.
not a great place at night, but for a quiet pint, one of the best pubs in town

Good choice of beer and mild, very spacious and very attractive, friendly bar staff. Famous for its weekly quiz.
Got an upstairs section with pool table. I never visited this place enough.

Down to one real ale - Reverand James - which tasted a bit metallic.
Attractive barmaids though.

A Brains pub that does not serve the Dark MILD. It appears to have an interesting interior but didn't stay, moved on to the "Bar Essential" where Brains Dark MILD is only 1.70 a pint.

Pretty cosy place to start your night, has a couple of real ales and a nice interior with a quiz on a Sunday night. Clientele often higher-end students and locals.
Suffers from the usual Aber problem of being too hot and smokey when busy, but overall well worth visiting.

Soul-less spoiled boozer

Quiet place in the backstreets but well worth a visit. Low prices especially on the home-brewed lager and bitter. Big screen to watch the rugby, barmaids very easy on the eye, overall highly recommended if you're in the area.

A bustling town centre pub witha cosier atmosphere than some of the larger Aber pubs. The 1 a bottle permanent price deal makes it a top place to start a night on the town.

A very nice pub in the heart of Aberystwych. The downstairs is very lively and has a great atmosphere, while the upstaris is generally more relaxed and better for a quite drink. Friendly locals, and the music they where playing was pretty good as well. Recommended if you're in the area.
