Sadly,I must withdraw my previous recommendation for this pub.Jack has gone due to a falling out with his business partner. She is a simply dreadful harpie who, several people have told me is anti-English in her outlook. She only wants the pub to appeal to Irish people. There is even a picture of a convicted IRA terrorist on one of the walls.Avoid if you have any kind of accent other then Irish.

This pub has reopened as a good traditional pub.Reverting back to its' original name of the Wellington. The lease is held by Jack the ex-guvnor of the Springfield in Bounds Green so if you know that pub expect similar here.Darts, pool, televised sport will be staples of this pub as will good value food eventually.

This place has turned into one of the most threatening bars in the area. They should take the rainbow flag down and stop trying to attract decent gay people to this appalling excuse for a supposedly 'gay bar'. The windows are broken on a regular basis (and I mean weekly) and the current customers are young urban hooded menaces. The place is filthy and the lagers often taste foul. If you are Gay stay well clear if you are decent and straight stay well clear too.

Now reopened as Tee's Wine Bar! Same clientele but stranger decor

Noisy, Dark, Expensive & Deserted. Still, a nice to sit outside and people watch in the afternoon. Not the kind of place to take a lady in the evening.

I totally agree with The_Leader, its a dump. And an expencive dump at that! Men hitting women, men hitting men and basicly a sad messed up place. But if ur in training of becoming a streetfighter,u know where to go..

I saw a fight pile out of here last night. Some poor bugger got hit over the head with a metal chair. He was knocked unconscious in a shockingly cowarldy act.
Steer clear of holes like this.

Oh dear, I should have known when I saw the disco lights blazing through the windows at 18:00 on a Tuesday evening. The camp barman singing along to X Factor confirmed my fears that I had walked into a gay bar. Thankfully he and the 2 other punters were very friendly Not too friendly mind!
There is limited seating around the walls and plenty of standing/dancing room. There is also a pool table towards the back of the bar.
I cant envisage any reason why I would ever find myself in here again.

Going downhill again, it seems to be up for sale again ... why doesn't someone buy it - spend a bit of money, take it slightly more upmarket - and by that I mean toilets that work!

This place is always quite entertaining, lots of characters. Also it is open late which is cool. It is rather expensive however.

Well, for this area that is really rough the pub looks:
-overpriced definitely -low quality -atmosphere is friendly though

a gay place, beer is good but little overpriced--it is not a central London for ... sake

Needs to do something, used to be okay, new owners trying their best but tends to fill with alcopop-fuelled late teens from the Wetherspoons later. Have to say have given up now after living in the area for two years. Easier to get bus to Stoke Newington or Islington.

Quite a nice little pub, got lots of charm when it gets going. The landlord and his wife are decent, hard-working people who will always welcome you.
If you want a place thats buzzing, get here later, otherwise it's pretty quiet.
Some of the locals are a bit cliquey and think they own the bleeding place, that's my only criticism.
