Hogs Head, Staffordback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Should be re-opening later this year
closed again - open for about a year as "Chambers" but BITE never got around to renaming it !
A large open plan place, with smaller side rooms, which looks as if it's had a fair bit spent on it recently.
7 handpumps - Greene King IPA and Abbott plus 5 guests starting from 2.80. Food served all day from a pretty extensive, although not cheap, menu. Beer quality was fine but the service could be better - despite there being at least 4 staff behind the bar on a fairly quiet lunchtime.
Re-opening soon as "Chambers" - advertising good food and real ales. they certainly seem to have done enough work on it !
A year on from the last review - and it's still closed.
Hogs Head is now shut...yay!
this to be fair is the most over priced pub for what they offer, beer is of aa poor standard, badly managed, the only thing i can say is the food is filling but the price could be a little cheeper to suite the surroundings..... words of advice to all hogs head drinkers this is to be said around the area the worst hogs head the brand offers! in a personal view to make this a nicer place to go would be to sack the childish manager and sack most of the childish staff and gutt the place and start over again!!!!!!!!

young, lively, big TV screen for all matches, fantastic building with original feautures, sadly scruffy and in disrepair with poor clealiness. had ginger pubic hair in glass of wine - no apology, pretty sick making - now called the pigs pube in our circle of friends. also expensive drinks.
