This seemed to be the place where everyone was taking full advantage of the (very good) Banks's Bitter at £2.29 and the Pedigree at £2.49 a pint. Despite being busy, we found the pub to be soulless but it served a purpose late on Saturday afternoon before we continued our walk around the town walls.

Located opposite the castle. It had recently re-opened after a complete refurb and still smelt of fresh paint. It has been tastefully decorated with comfortable seating. It had 2 Banks' beers; Mild and Bitter plus Marston's Pedigree. The mild which was very nice looked and tasted like a normal session bitter. They didn't do any form of food.

Nice clean friendly pub with good food. Language a bit choice though. Wonderful fire centre stage very relaxing

Nice but serving ales from the Marston's portfolio. Well kept Cockerhoop was enjoyed. Handy for the bus stop!!

Good pints of Hobgoblin and Brakspear Hooray Henley and 3 others on all from the Marstons stable - Pedigree, Banks's and another seasonal.Very nice lunch time menu. Would recommend when visiting Conwy Castle.

Although the beer quality warrants its inclusion in the Good Beer Guide, the range of beers wasn't very adventurous - the promised guest beers probably coming from the same Marston's range. I left when a Scouser was winding up a Welshman (or vice versa) but this could be part of the entertainment!*!

Beer well kept but choice limited to major national breweries. Friendly owners & good value basic pub meals served.

Big on food now. Excellent freshly cooked meals with huge portions for great prices. Always 3 real ales on the go. Accomodations as well.

Soon to be under new management. One of the barmaids has taken over the lease. Expect some changes for the better!

Small local pub with a few hotel rooms to rent upstairs. Best real ale selection in Conwy.
