Located in the middle of the town, the lounge is long and thin with the bar on the righthand side. There is a garden at the rear. There is another room on the other side which is set up as restaurant. The seating is reasonably comfortable It has 3 rather ordinary real ales; Speckled Hen, Bass and Green King IPA. Food was well priced with large helpings. It could get rather noisy at times when it filled up.

Popped in 9.30pm, cozy, welcoming pub, quite a few imbibers in for a midweek evening. Ales from the Greene King stable on offer, Abbot Ale in good condition. Pub let down though by dirty, stinking toilets, the mirrors and wall tiles don't appear to have been cleaned for weeks, the urinals also stank! I would have given seven marks but have reduced to four marks due to loos!!

Can't disagree with any of the previous posts. Stayed a night here between Christmas and New Year, good range of real ales in good nick. Recommended.

stayed here with 3 other friends, excellent Pub, nice location, very clean and great priced rooms, Landlord very helpful. well worth the journey.

About 5 beers but from the usual national suspects with the exception of Mordue Workie Ticket! Seemed to be a cosy, pleasant pub - the beer was well kept and certainly didn't make me want to drink - (gulp!) - Carling!!! No accounting for taste I suppose!

I recently had a great day/night in the George & Dragon while on holiday in the area I stayed in one of the guest B&B rooms which was better than any I had previously stayed in at a pub.
The pub itself was very warm and welcoming, on arrival I was met by the landlord who showed me to my room which was clean and very well priced for the night I was there.
I ventured around town for an hour or two before heading back to the pub around 5pm where I sat down for the night and enjoyed many drinks! All of which were great I started by drinking one of the 5 different real ales trying 2 more before I started to drink the Carling which was very nice indeed! I had some food around 5.30pm which was of excellent standard and again very well priced, the staff were very courteous and polite often engaging me in conversation while I sat alone! I appreciated that immensely!
I am going back to Conwy in June and July and I know where i'll be drinking, eating and sleeping! Thats the George & Dragon!

I went to the George and Dragon at the weekend and had a brilliant time. I have avoided the pub until now because I didn't like the owners but since the new landlord has taken over it is a completely different place-Clean, relaxed, good beer and brill food. I have decided to have my wedding reception there as it has such a nice feel to the place!

We had an absolute ball at this pub. Bed and Breakfast was fantastic, and they collected fresh mushrooms for us in the morning. We loved it so much thought about applying for a job in the town of conwy all the way from Australia. Graham and Trish Smith OZ

Not sure what's happened here. After a change in pub landlord last year the regulars have all wandered off. Even on a weekend night the place is a tomb.

Very nice place, good drinks. For the more mature generation, but has lots of character...

A very nice pub indeed. Small, but big enough for a great time. Crowd was mostly older, and the pulls were good (Bass & Old Speckeled Hen). The pub's decor is good enough for a pop in and a pint. The fire is very nice and the older interior adds a lot of flare to the place.

Excellent pub with fireplace, food and a few cask ales as well as the usual stuff. Friendly staff.
