Lovely little place with a good selection of food and wines. The only downside is that it's slightly overpriced, but would definitely recommend to anyone fancying an intimate evening or celebrating a special occasion.

This is possibly the finest small bar in the area. It is a wonderous little place that's full of suprises. Although there is no award for Small Bars come the end of the year, I understand that Number 22 is in line for a special achievement prize. Although at the moment this only hearsay, it wouldn't suprise me in the least if honours are bestowed on this tremendous venue.
It is quite simply sensational.

Absolutely wonderful - great cocktails and Cruz Campo on draft... service is friendly and efficient and the food delicious.

Our new favourite place in Herne Hill. Small, but very stylish and spotlessly clean (especially the loo). There is a small 'lounge' area at the front + bar stools, then proper restaurant tables at the back, with a large fireplace. Interesting paintings, professionally hung, which is a nice change in Herne Hill (see Escape + Cafe Prov.). The food and bar snacks are very good, with a great wine list which includes a range of sherries - these must be tried - they're about as far from the stuff your granny drank at Christmas as you can get. The wine list has been carefully chosen with excellent and reasonably priced Spanish wines. Friendly and helpful staff. It is a non-smoking premises (great!). I'm pleased to say that it's often full (but makes it hard sometimes to get a seat). Definitely for grown-ups who appreciate good food, wine and service. My only very minor quibble is that the tapas portions are a bit on the 'nouvelle cuisine' side of small - or maybe I'm just greedy!

The food is fantastic - especially the Zarzuela. Excellent wine list, well designed cocktail list and some good beers too.

Worth travelling a bit out of the way for. Excellent wine list and food, especially the Sunday lunch. Although probably best to book in advance as there's only seating for about 25 people...

It's so good to see a place of this quality in Herne Hill. It's welcoming and stylish and the food is spectacular. I've been there for dinner and breakfast and both were among the best i've had this year. Recommended.

Excellent new bar/restaurant. Imaginative menu, including wide range of tapas. Amazing wine & sherry list. Popular in evenings, so booking advised, or try it out for lunch instead!

At last a good restaurant/bar in Herne Hill. Love the food, great wine list (organic ones too) and good sherries too - not that I know much about sherry. Have had tapas there too - check out the "spanish affair".

Been here twice already since opening, and will definitely be going back. Enthusiastic, welcoming staff, excellent food, and a cracking wine/sherry list.

Lovely new place in Herne Hill, or is it west Dulwich? Nevermind, the food is well priced and excellent with outstanding service. The place has an intimate feel with excellent photos from a talented photographer on the wall. Go once and you'll come back!

A bar and restaurant really on the site of what was a dreadful wine bar. It's a fantastic little place that mixes great cocktails, serves some fantastic (mainly organic) wines and even has Cruz Campo on draft. Definitely the best place in Herne Hill by a mile.
