Greys Corner, Stoke on Trentback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
This corner pub is now called the Olde Bull & Bush and it's in the current Good Beer Guide. With time to spare before our train, we headed here for a swift pint. Bass is the regular ale. But it was supplemented by Dancing Duck Duck Berry & Nice Weather (it certainly wasn't outside!) & Wincle Rambler. Ciders were Lilley's Darkcider, Bee Sting Perry & Crazy Goat, Broadoak Moonshine & Hurst View Spiced Rum Cider. CAMRA discounts are available on pints of ale only. The pub appears to be Chinese-owned. There are 2 rooms (from my rather glazed memory) and it has a traditional feel. I'll definitely be back when next drinking in this area.

True community pub. Respectful with good beer. One cheap lager and Carling but for me the Bomber [not to be confused with Bombardier!] is excellent

Traditional pub, plus unwanted televisions no one was watching.
Thwaites Bomber on hand pump.
Big landlord, small Thai wife, Thai food.
Sign of the times.
Ended up watching telly.

Popped in for a pint at the weekend, the top of the pub has been turned into a restaurant selling Thai food.
the atmosphere was ok and the beer was fine.
|
Gone downhill lately - fewer ales, greater prices, and tends to attract the football hooligan crowd on matchdays.
|
now they have Bomber only - they used to have all four Thwaites beers
